You seem to take politicians by their words. It is best you take them by their deeds.

Tinubu has made it clear he used Buhari to snatch power from the PDP.

He nor members of the APC expected him to be such a catastrophic failure. Even many bigwigs in the PDP dumped their party and joined APC.

Alas, it turned out that apart from being personally principled and honest, he almost had nothing to offer. This was evident from the start when he started fixing the exchange rate of the Naira without him factoring market forces. It was because he did not believe in market forces that he even fixed the rates. The economy immediately collapsed because it lead to severe forex shortages.

The party only put up with him. Since he still had considerable goodwill, he won a second term.

Now that Tinubu is president, his secobd task was to demolish Buharis hallowed fixed or multiple exchange rate system that destroyed the economy. The first task was petrol subsidy removal waa something Buhari kept refusing to do despite ample opportunities to do so a couple of times since 2016.

Undoing the mess Buhari left would be Herculean. To get a good understanding, it was estimated that 96% of this year's government revenue would be used for debt servicing.

Well, everyone can keep cursing Oshio Baba and anyone else. For whatever reason, APC has been able to foist terrible suffering and destruction on the Nigerian people and still win election after election. How does a party create such an economic crisis and still stay in office controlling both the Presidency and National Assembly, the thing is a real curiosity.

I'm not even talking matters of trust like President Buhari repudiating his own promise to publicly declare his assets in 2015 or sell of most of the Presidential Air Fleet. I mean practical bread and butter issues like the cost of rice, garri and other foods and federal universities staying closed for almost 1 year.

It's evident there's NOTHING anyone can do to set the rulers of Nigeria on a better course. Nigerians will continue to bear their suffering with admirable dignity.

As the Nigerian is wont to say.....it is well.
