Parachoko: Its good that you Nigerians are now admitting it was Gowon who abolished the Regions we had, and not Ironsi. Why did Gowon split the Eastern Region into 3 when he signed a gentleman's agreement with Ojukwu in Ghana? Thousands of Ojukwus people were being slaughtered but Ojukwu had mo sane reason to declare Biafra? Gowon broke an agreement he signed with Ojukwu, but Ojukwu had no sane reason to declare Biafra? Even if Ojukwu had only left Nigeria with his village, there still would have been war The unity beggars and the one Nigerianist only care about keeping every inch of their long failed Nigeria together |

gidgiddy:Ironsi killed the Regions with his Unification Decree. The Unitary System Of Government Started under Ironsi. Whether he created New States or not, the Regions were as weak as this present 36 States. 1 Like 1 Share |

Parachoko: Can you remind me the process and the law that back it up,I mean the choice to leave a state. I remember Sam Mbakwe former governor of Imo state went to court in 1980 to get Obigbo back to Imo state but supreme ruled against him just like they also ruled in favour of River state in boundary dispute recently. |

Parachoko: Thats the many lies of people like the above who ralk about Decree 34 but have never read it Decree 34 neither abolished federalism nor introduced unitary rule, Decree 34 was simply a vivil service matter All 4 Regions existed and had resource control throughout Ironsi's tenure |

gidgiddy:You should be the one to read about it and stop talking out of ignorance. He should have left the system the way he met it. We were operating base on the system the Founding Fathers Agree on 1 Like 1 Share |

Parachoko: This guy is funny, he has no idea what is contained in the unification decree. All he knows is to repeat what he heard, that the decree destroyed federalism Typical one Nigerianist |

gidgiddy:Aguyi should have left the System the way he met it. After the Coup failed, he should have handed over to the most Senior Government Officials, but he choose to hold on to power. The Rest they Say is History. 1 Like 1 Share |

KwuoteYourFada: Ojukwu was part of the military council that made Nigeria a unitary state. We don't have it on any record where he disagreed with Ironsi. 1 Like 1 Share |

ISLAMBAD: You want Biafra issue to be addressed and Niger Delta agitation of adaka boro and the invasion of Niger Delta,Midwestern by Biafra soldiers should be swept under the carpet. This is the reason nobody takes you serious in Nigeria. The next doom that will fall upon you in the next 200 years you're not going to be thinking like human being. |

Parachoko: You mean Nigeria that is poverty capital of the world and 8th most terrorised country on earth? Nigeria has long failed and is heading for disintegration Ojukwu had foresight, he could see the disaster Nigeria was going to be and tried to fight his way out of it. He may not have succeeded, but he gave it his best, a noble effort to aspire to freedom History has since vindicated Ojukwu and the Biafrans, they made a concerted effort to get out of the future disaster called Nigeria 1 Like |

skj1377: Dey lie to yourself. Most of them are six feets under. What you wanted to say is that most of their offsprings are languishing in various jails the world over as a result of criminality. Most igbos didn't have anything after the war..... The BIAFRAN pounds which many have changed their money to became useless....and Nigeria got a new currency in order for igbos not go be able to spend the Nigerian pound they looted from the CBN vaults in Enugu. Your shameless fathers lies is being bursted.... 1 Like 1 Share |
