NFF officials are uselessly shameless

Recap.

1) The NFF has often failed to pay the Super Falcons their entitlements when due. This has been the case stretching back to the Year 2000.

2) In 2016 the Falcons had to stage a protest on the streets of Abuja because they had not been paid after winning the 2016 African Nations Cup. Part of the money was paid due to the protest, but part was still not paid. The NFF victimised the coach, Florence Omagbemi, because it blamed her for the players' protest.

3) The NFF promised to pay the players during the 2019 World Cup. The players staged a sit in protest at their hotel in France because they believed that (a) the NFF would not pay them (b) they NFF would only pay players that were in France and others that played in the 2016 Nations Cup but did not make the 2019 World Cup would not be paid. The NFF victimised the captain, Desire Oparanozie, because it blamed her for the protest.

4) The NFF also did not pay the players for some of the Nations Cup qualifiers and friendlies that were played in 2021. The players went on strike during the 2022 Nations Cup and the NFF paid them part of the money. It then victimised the reserve goalkeeper, Tochukwu Oluehi, because she complained about what the NFF was doing.

5) The NFF promised that it will use the money it gets from FIFA after the 2023 World Cup to pay the players.

6) The House of Representatives created a committee to investigate the issue of the NFF owing the Super Falcons players.

7) The committee complained that the NFF was not cooperating with it and that the NFF president has failed to appear before it.

8 ) The NFF president appeared before the committee yesterday and said that the NFF has paid the players. The committee has asked the NFF to provide proof.

Pls I need to understand something because the grammar is to much based on these payments...
I thought that 2023 world cup bonuses has been paid to them directly from FIFA?

Everyone has become a suspect including the presidency!!.....grin grin
Are you so naive that this is a common occurrence from time immemorial in Nigerian system or you are just playing to the gallery because those in power are not your people.

If Tinubu is a man of integrity he should summon the Minister of Sports to pay the Super Falcons all their benefits as soon as possible and with a comprehensive report but NO! Tinubu can't do it because they are all his colleagues in looting.

While Tinubu was busy expanding his cabinet and bringing up new ministries not minding the cost involved in governance, the NFF are deciding on trimming the makeup of the technical and administrative crew of the Super Eagles and super falcons and all other national teams.

Going by antecedents of such committees set up by the leadership of the National Assembly to investigate issues under contention in the past, I can predict the outcome of this adhoc committee:
1. NFF will pay part of the entitlement to the players because of this pressure, but the players will never get the complete money.
2. Members of the NA committee will collect "appreciation envelopes" from the NFF chairman and will die the matter!
Borrowing the words of False prophet, "This, I have seen!"

FIFA already said earnings from the world cup ll go to players directly... Which NFF ll do aside that what else...

As for the Super Falcons, if NFF fails to pay them, they should stop playing for the country. Why waste your energy when you won't be appreciated?

Unfortunately, there is nothing these lawmakers can do to them. The NFF officials will visit them later in the night and money will change hands. The genesis of this whole issue is FIFA’s rule that ban the interference of Government on the activities of the Football Federation. That gave the NFF a free pass to embezzling the funds given to them annually by FIFA and CAF. This explains one of the reasons Amaju Pinnick the former FA boss now own a Private Jet.

Fifa itself is a mafia like organization.

Agbado please read your comment... Sense is really far from you. So if you cannot remove someone from their position that means he/she doesn't report to you. Even your Thiefnubuu couldn't remove Emefiele the CBN governor who reports to the Minister of Finance. So stop typing rubbish.

I tried to explain, but it seems some didn't understand. The dispute is not about the 2023 World Cup. The NFF was owing the Super Falcons before the 2023 World Cup.
