Read to understand they tamper with pipe carrying oil. It does not say where the oil is from. If you check states where oil 13% derivation is paid then you know who get oil and who get small quantities. Irony1: |

Nigeria has to decide to invest in and build mines before this becomes an issue. The fact there is some gold does not mean it’s in commercial quantities. That is why only states that actually produce oil are in the 13% derivation not just that they have oil. I know some youth corpers who even say them used to follow locals go dig to small small gold. otino: You don't know your geography. Abia is North to Rivers State. Pipelines for crude oil export don't run from Rivers to Abia, they run from Abia to Rivers. The connection in place siphons crude oil from Abia to Rivers for onwards transportation to the Atlantic ocean for exports. So the crude oil in this instance couldn't have come from outside Abia as that wouldn't make sense. Hope your bigotry had been cured. By the way, Owaza oil Fields in Abia is the oldest in Nigeria after after Oloibiri as it was discovered in 1957 just a year after Oloibiri, but Oloibiri has ran out of crude oil since a decade ago while Owaza fields is still going strong. This is what they will not teach you in school when hate filled people go on rant about how Igbos wanted to steal "Niger Delta" oyel in Biafra. Who God has blessed, no man can curse. Ndiigbo are blessed. 5 Likes |

tribalmall:You are defending baba bolaba that did worse than mmesoma, but you dont want the Igbos to defend their own. Hypocrite! Besides, I thought you lots said there is no oil in Igbo land, that Igbos are parasites. So, why are you angry over this? 1 Like |

Slurity: YES!…..That’s the reason! Only a certified mug will look at ‘one Nigeria’ as presently constituted and ran today and be happy the resources in his land are termed ‘national resources’ while gold and other minerals up north are exploited freely by artisanal/illegal miners with the state and federal gov’ts doing little or nothing to prevent the illegality! The hydrocarbon resources in Alaigbo are deliberately under-valued, under-played, under-exploited or miraculously placed in neighbouring states outside the south-east just to marginalise and spite the Igbo….and so it can be said Alaigbo has just a few buckets of oyel and is almost ‘barren’! |
