OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY, ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU, PRESIDENT AND COMMANDER IN CHIEF, FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA:

NEED TO REWARD EFFORT OF SUPPORT GROUPS - THE COSGABAT EXAMPLE


My Dear President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,

I write you this day as one of your core loyalists from Rivers State and member of the Coalition of support Groups for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (COSGABAT) under the Leadership of Hon Babajide Akinwolere Thomas, aka, "APATA"

From 2020, our vision for your Presidency was hatched. And base on your impeccable credentials as an icon of democracy, we bekoned on you , using various groups and campaigns to impress on you to come, to vy for the office of the President. Our vision was built upon your trajectory of excellence in governance ,and your personal contributions to the fight for civil rule in Nigeria.

Your Excellency, all the groups of supporters in our coalition, accross the nation, are your core loyalists, who believed in you, and worked concertedly to contribute to your victory as President of our dear country.

As core members of APC,who believed strongly in your mandate from day one, and stood for you till victory, we feel proud to be part of your victoriius story, and we are hopeful that the Executive committee members of our Coalition,and indeed the entire membership of COSGABAT, will not be excluded in the renewed Hope Agenda.

One young man that has been unwaivering in his support for your ambition is Hon(Dr) Babajide Akinwolere Thomas , the Director General of the Coalition of support Groups for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu-COSGABAT.

For us, the achievements of Babajide Akin-Thomas, in engendering a new paradigm, in the advocacy for good governance in Nigeria is highly commendable.He is an epitome of your vision, for inclusion of the youth in the governance of our nation.
With his belief in you , long before your declaration of interest, the Director General of COSGABAT, work conscientiously to galvanize like minds in various support groups, to form a formidable coalition, that worked for your victory, even in the midst of glaring confusion, betrayals, stiff opposition and ridicule within our party, the All progressives congress (APC),across the nation widen
Your Excellency sir, I am happy today, and indeed excited, that despite the opposition's concerted and calculated effort, to frustrate your ambition, COSGABAT and other support groups came alive, to demonstrate absolute loyalty in you and your project. It is not surprising therefore, that with our overwhelming support, coming from our robust structure across the nation, your mandate which we pledged and stood for, was actualized by May 29th,2023.
It is worthy to mention that the Coalition of support Groups for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (COSGABAT) which is the' brain child' of Hon(Dr) Babajide Akin-Thomas contributed immensely to your victory nation wide.
From the conceptualisation and eventual take off of the group in November 2021, Hon Babajide Akinwolere Thomas, considered it a top priority to assemble Nigerians with like minds, to solicit support, and even demanded that you come out to contest for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Today, through his effort, COSGABAT has its strong presence in the 36 States of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). In his demonstration of his loyalty and commitment to your mandate, Babajide Akin-Thomas,took your ambition as a personal project,and rekindled the loyalty spirit, in the minds of supporters,charging and motivating everyone accross the nation, not to deter in their trust in the person of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

On 1st October 2021,he and the executive committee of the Coalition, set up a fifty (50) man Committee across all Support. And on 16th January 2022 in Ibadan, the coalition launched out the first ever mass mobilization of grass root supporters, in what was tagged"One Million (1,000,000) Solidarity walk' at Liberty Stadium, with support coming from Alhaji Musibau Ajimobi, Hon. Bimbo Kolade and Mr Sunday Dare, the then Minister for Youths and Sports.

Also In February 2022, the Coalition of Support Groups for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu took the same initiative to Kano, galvanizing support for you through the support of Rt. Hon. Hamisu Ibrahim and later the then Governor of Kano State, Dr. Umar Ganduje and Arch. Aminu Dabbo (Former MD, Nigeria Ports Authority). I believe that Nigerians can not forget the massive numbers, that came from the North, as a result of the awareness and sensitizations from COSGABAT and other support groups.

In the south also, it was the same strategy of COSGABAT that triggered up various groups to intensify mass mobilization efforts that brought in massive support for you from the entire southern Region.
It is worth mentioning that the Coalition of support Groups for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (COSGABAT), stood with you, to withstand the "storms" and worked conscientiously for you till victory was achieved at last
I give exceeding praise to God Almighty for your victory, and subsequent assumption to power as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,at such a time like this.

Being our icon of democracy and principal, with a trajectory of excellence in governance, I have no doubt in your pedigree and capability, to resolve various economic challenges facing our country today.
I am happy that you have already constituted your federal excutive cabinet, made up of credible and hard working politicians,as well as experienced technocrats as Ministers who have already assumed duty in their respective portfolios.
Most fascinating was your due diligence, in the selection of respected men and women,both young and old, who fought for your victory accross the country.
I commend you Mr President, for jettisoning sentiments and personal interests in your choice of your cabinet members. By rewarding excellence and hard work in your ministerial appointments, you have demonstrated that you truly listen to the yearnings of Nigerians,and also recognize those behind your victory.

As Nigerians wait for further appointments, the coalition of support Groups for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is patiently waiting for a reward from you sir.
In this regard, I would not fail to identify first, our Director General, Babajide Akin-Thomas,who deserves a special consideration in your ministerial appointment. Hon Akinwolere Thomas, having distinguished himself as a young enterprising youth, with capacity to lead such a massive coalition, of over 500 groups accross Nigeria, deserves a special recognition from you Mr President.
It was Akin Thomas who inspired many loyalists to the group,and today the group can boast of experienced politicians and seasoned technocrats accoss the federation, with track records of excellence and dexterity in their chosen careers.

In terms of capacity, we are blessed with experience and qualified members who we believe can function effectively if given the opportunities, ranging from former CEOs of Banks, bankers , architects, accountants, certified engineers, academics , experience politicians, commissioners, successful businemen, and it is Hon Babajide Akin-Thomas that assembled all these great men and women accross the nation for the success of your ambition.

The Director General has distinguished himself as a young Nigerian business tycoon and philanthropist. He is multi-talented,and a winner of many awards;one of which is "the most influential youths in Nigeria's political arena.

In terms of his entrepreneurial prowess, he is a CEO/ managing Director of Green -one consultancy,and Elizathoms global. He is equally the founder of youths organization of Africa(YOA). And just recently the young Akin- Thomas has been v identified by the Institut Superieur de communication et de Gestion(ISCG university),in Benin Republic, for and award a honorary doctorate for his excellent achievements,in business and political carriers.

It is on the basis of Hon Akin Thomas's contributions to your victory and his rare qualities as leader of such high profile group of personalities of Nigerians, that I am confident, that the young man can function properly and creditably, if given the opportunity to serve as one of your young ministers.
To the members of COSGABAT accross Nigeria, it will be a sense of great honour and pride for you to recognize our group, with this special appointment to our Director General,Hon Babajide Akinwolere Thomas.

As a young intelligent youth,who already has experience in managing the affairs of the youth through his Non governmental organization (NGO), Youth of Africa(YOA),Hon Akin Thomas can also fit it properly, as a representation of the youths in your cabinet.
Your Excellency, we in the Coalition of support Groups for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,are already keying to your audacious "EMILOKAN" paradigm , and claiming by faith that, IT IS OUR TIME. Hon Babajide Akinwolere Thomas , and members of our coalition deserve a special consideration in your next appointments.
This is my personal plea and i pray that you consider to enable us key into your renewed hope agenda for Nigerians.

On a more serious note, many things really need to give for this country to move forward.

All these political jobbers are only going into government to milk the country dry.

Political appointments should be based on merit and not as a reward for for partisan politics. It never ends well.
