Ebonyi Woman Dumps New Born Baby Inside Toilet After Delivery In Anambra (Photo) | #IgbereTV

A bouncing baby boy has been rescued alive three days after he was dumped in a pit toilet by his mother who hails from Ebonyi State.

Our correspondent gathered that the ugly incident happened in Otuocha, Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State three days after birth.

According to the Anambra Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Affairs, the 20-year-old mother, Nwaedoka Chidimma, from Izzi, Ebonyi state, gave birth to the baby on Sunday, August 27, 2023 and dumped him in the toilet.

An eye witness, Esther Omesi, a farmer and a friend to Chidimma, said the suspect asked to stay at her place for a few days because of a farming job.

Omesi narrated how the suspect started acting suspiciously on Sunday after she notified her that she's having stomach upset and then went to the pit to ease herself.

Omesi said Chidimma took time and later came out of the toilet, dripping in blood.

Omsesi said she called a nurse who inspected Chidimma and revealed that the baby was gone.

She said that she thought that Chidinma had a stillbirth and encouraged her to travel home to her parents and notify them of the development.

Mrs. Omesi revealed that they heard a baby's cry on Tuesday morning, August 29, and quickly used a ladder to rescue the newborn after which they notified the necessary authorities.

When the attention of the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Hon Ify Obinabo, was called to the incident, she quickly Intervened by taking the infant to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital Amaku Awka for treatment and arrested the culprit.

Efforts by our correspondent to get the reaction of Anambra State Police Command proved abortive as at time of filing this report.

That poor Ebonyi woman was a victim of baby factory which Anambra women are known for.

This is a case of the accused twisting the truth .

I believe the Ebonyi woman was abducted and kept in a baby factory where she was subjected to series of rape until she got pregnant and after delivery they threw her out and took the baby.

But the Ebonyi woman went to the authorities and now they are twisting things to seem as if the mother attempted to kill her baby.

Do not believe one word that comes out of these people's mouth. I know them first hand as the liars and false accusers that they are.
