Did You know that before independence, the Ogrugu town was a commercial area in the rank of Onitsha and Aba, the Ogurugu Area was the access area to Nothern Igboland also known as Igbo Nsukka. Hopefully with the New Naval Base, The town may get back to being a commercial city again hopefully to the rank of Onitsha and Aba.

The Decline of Ogrugu started with independence and the building of the UNN, that took attention away from the town, But Obasanjo built an Airstrip/Airport there and with the navy presence, security would be assured and in due time the sleepy town may begin to thrive again, I'm beginning to believe that the state government is really determined to ensure that this is realised and once this happens, Enugu State IGR would improve greatly.
