As part of ongoing attempt to unify the students' community and foster a collaborative partnership between the Government, students, and security forces, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Student Affairs Hon. Nyanabo Maxwell Soye paid a familiarization visit to the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 6 Division Nigerian Army. The GOC was represented by Brig Gen. E.U Effiong, DSS, PSC,FDC,FCN,CM,GOM,MSC, the Commander of the 6 Division Garrison/Sector 3 Joint Task Force (South-South) Operation Delta Safe Nigerian Army.

The primary objective of this meeting was to revive and strengthen the longstanding relationship between the security, students, and the Government. It was encouraging to note that during the meeting, several key areas of partnership were discussed and agreed upon.
