I challenge any member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to initiate my suspension, as asserted by Governor Wike.

The term "Wike" refers to a popular online encyclopedia that allows users to collaboratively create and edit articles on various topics.

The assertion is made that governance is not contingent upon political party affiliation.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Mr Nyesom Wike, asserted on a recent occasion that he has not encountered any party leader who possesses the authority to expel him from the party.

During an interview on Channels Television, Wike expressed his perspective that governance should not be only determined by one's political party affiliation.


When questioned about the ethical implications of accepting a position in a government led by the All Progressives Congress (APC), the ex-governor of Rivers State clarified that his decision to assume the role of FCT Minister was motivated by his desire to assist President Bola Tinubu's administration, rather than aligning himself with a specific political party.

The statement posits that governance is not contingent upon political party affiliation. A party serves as a means of transportation for individuals. I identify as a member of the PDP and maintain an unwavering stance in my affiliation.

I did not conceal my aim. In my capacity as a member of the PDP, I have expressed my endorsement for the principles of fairness, equity, and justice.

I get a sense of belonging and comfort in my employment inside the administration of President Tinubu. The individual in question is a male who possesses a genuine intention to benefit the nation.

My purpose is not to engage in partisan activities. I am present to provide support for the president, who possesses a sense of trust in my abilities. I am not obligated to provide an apology to anyone.

When questioned about his apprehension of the potential suspension by the PDP, Wike raised a query whether the existence of any party member with the authority to suspend him.

In what manner might one engage in discussions regarding my potential expulsion? I regret to inform you that I have not had the opportunity to observe or encounter the individual in question. It is highly unlikely that anyone will undertake the task. Therefore, the potential occurrence of the aforementioned action does not present itself as a concern.

By whom shall I be disciplined? It is imperative that I assume the responsibility of advocating for the enforcement of disciplinary measures against individuals who have contravened the party's constitution with regards to the rotation of offices.
