The Ibani Kingdoms of Grand Bonny and Opobo (“Okolo-Ama naa’ Opubu-Ama”) will be holding their first re-unification meeting (“IBANI AMANYANAPU NAA ALAPU KUBIRI”)

after a period of one hundred and thirty one years (1880-2011) between the 28th and 30th of October, 2011, at Bonny town. These

meetingswill discuses the common interest of the Ibani people. During the meeting, Cultural troupes will perform and a Church service will be

held at St.Stephen’s Cathedral on Saturday.

In view of the above, I write to inform us that space will be made available in the official Brochure for goodwill messages and advertorial.

Groups/individuals can take advantage of the available space for Goodwill Message(s) to Their Majesties, the Kings of the two Kingdoms, War

Canoe (Chieftaincy) Houses, and the good people of both Kingdoms.

The cost is between fifty thousand (N50, 000.00) and two hundred thousand (N200, 000.00) naira only per page.

No matter how we view the agenda behind this meeting; it is indeed a welcome development in the History of the Clan and more particularly this era it is happening. I think we should support this noble course with fervent prayers. No one will be able to tell what the outcome will be; however, since our expectations will be innumerable before man we must kneel with them before God for a way forward. Man may conceive the ideology/purpose of this meeting but God will direct the path and outcome. Let us now Pray for our Clan, Let us now Pray for our Leaders, and Let us now Pray for Us all as individuals that God will use this auspicious opportunity to give our Clan a face before HIM and Mankind. The meeting should be extended to Ezes in Ngwaland and above all the eze of AmaIgbo. It is important.
