POSITION: Account Officer


Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo State

We are looking for a detail-oriented Account Officer to assist in our client financial department. The responsibilities of an Account Officer include keeping financial records up-to-date, checking for inaccuracies in invoices, and handling queries on general accounts.

Job Responsibilities;

Work closely with other Account Department staff in achieving the targets and goals set for the department
Recording and reporting cash flow transactions
Account receivable and revenue tracking
Account payable tracking
Inventory management and control
Payroll System management
PAYE, monthly & annual returns
Pension remittance, scheduling & monitoring
Payment processing – Electronic Transfers, Issue of cheques, locating co-signatories, etc
Bank Reconciliation – Current Accounts & FDs
Annual Budget Preparation
Performance update, Monitoring and review
Reporting and financial statements
Posting of transactions on Accounting Software;
Revenue (Donations, Reg. Fee, Disposals, Interests, etc. - Income Recognition & Receipts vouchers)
Expenditure (Purchase/Invoice & Payment vouchers)
Preparing weekly report
Spreadsheet records (Registers, FD Schedules, Budget – proposed/Approved/Performance, etc.
Spooling ledgers to generate reports as may be required
Spearheading the Annual Statutory Audit of the Fund
Vendors system functions
Banking relations/operations
Maintaining the petty cash system
Functional Competencies:

B.Sc/HND in Accounting
Minimum of 1 year of Accounting experience
Professional qualification is an added advantage
A good application of accounting packages
Personal Competencies:

Good communication skills
Attention to details
Strong personal attitudes
Ability to work under pressure with little supervision
Ability to deliver within a set target
