Real disciples of Christ are doing something entirely different from what most of you want.

We are forming a global family of peace loving worshipers {Isaiah 2:2-4} we don't participate either in politics or military services because Jesus commanded us never to raise weapons against anyone {Matthew 26:52} so we must LOVE our fellow believers (throughout the earth) just as Jesus love us {John 13:34-35} we must LOVE our neighbours (people around us) like ourselves {Mark 12:31} the most shocking is that we must also LOVE our enemies (people who hate us with passion) as he commanded {Matthew 5:44} even though they wish evil for us we're to wish them well {Luke 6:27-28} Christ Jesus said that's what makes us children of his father who is in heaven! Matthew 4:48

Do you know any religion PRACTICING this throughout the world?
They are the REAL Christians not all these killers supporting the killing of their neighbours and fellow believers due to politics and racism!

Do you know why John the baptist was killed?

Well he was chosen by God to prepare the way for Christ Jesus' earthly ministry {John 1:23; Isaiah 40:3; Malachi 3:1} John started gathering repentant Jews reminding them of what the scriptures say about the saviour and warming them that if care is not taking most of them will loose out in blessings God promised Abraham's descendants which is coming through the Christ. So many repentant Jews began running to him and he was baptizing them as a sign of their heartfelt repentance towards God's word.
After Jesus baptism John supposed to join Jesus' ministry but instead he continued his own ministry so his disciples told him that Jesus is also going about baptizing people {John 3:26} they felt Jesus shouldn't be doing that rather it's John who introduced baptism as a sign of repentance. John told them that Jesus' ministry will continue to increase while his own ministry diminish. John 3:27-30

Now as an imperfect human John felt really bad just as you're feeling right now regarding what is happening among politicians as they're behaving as if they don't have conscience or human feeling. One of them (Herod Antipas) snatched the wife of his brother and he began sleeping with her as his own while his brother is still alive {Matthew 14:3-4} this got John talking so he was arrested and imprisoned with chains, John expected Jesus as the Christ to come and deliver him so he sent his disciples to go and ask Jesus if he is truly the Christ or another one is coming! Matthew 11:2-3

You know the rest of the story so the point of emphasis is for us to be patient and ready to endure {Matthew 24:13} no matter what Satan and his agents are doing today {Ecclesiastes 4:1; 8:9} when Jesus is ready to bring his own government all politicians globally will be exterminated {Daniel 2:44} as well as anyone criticizing Jesus' orders! Luke 19:27

For the main time we are to continue gathering obedient mankind {Matthew 28:19-20} and preparing them for Paradise to come! Matthew 6:10
