Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has asserted that his administration successfully shielded Nigeria from rampant corruption, responding to allegations made by former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adokie.

In a statement released by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, defended his government's actions against corruption amidst allegations concerning Process & Industrial Developments (P&ID), Paris Club, and the Ajaokuta steel company.

Buhari began by pointing out that the cases in question had their roots in the administration in which Adokie served.
