…vows to appeal judgement upholding Tinubu’s election

Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, has vowed to appeal the judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, that upheld the election of President Bola Tinubu.

Obi, whose petition was dismissed by the court, warned that if care was not taken, sound electoral jurisprudence will disappear in the country.

He stressed that litigants that are dissatisfied with the outcome of an election, may resort to self help, if they continue to find it very difficult to establish their case owing to obstacles from government institutions like the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Speaking through his team of lawyers led by Dr. Livy Uzoukwu, SAN, Obi, said: “If we are not careful, our electoral jurisprudence will eventually disappear. I am saying this with every amount of sincerity because when the litigant, when those that contested election continue to find it very difficult to establish their case due to obstacles on the way, starting by INEC, certainly they may resort to some other means of trying to get justice, which may not be lawful.

“Also, I commend the Court of Appeal for introducing live streaming. You may recall that we applied to the court to have live streaming of all the proceedings, the court, in its wisdom did not grant the application.

“But now, in the end, they saw wisdom in it and the need to guarantee transparency, hence, live streaming of the judgement.

“Certainly, it would have been better if it was live streaming of the entire proceedings so that the public will have the chance of watching and be able to relate properly with the judgement.

“So, I will hope and pray that this time, it will be continuous, starting from the beginning of a case.

“That is the only way that you can guarantee transparency because when something is open, Nigerians will see things for themselves and they will make up their minds, one way or the other,” he added.

Peter should better go invest whatever is left into cat-fish farming!

Those lawyers will never tell him the truth and just after their own pocket.

You want to appeal case at the Supreme Court? 🤣🤣🤣. Does he know who happens to be the Chief Justice of Nigeria ?

Waste of funds!

Funds that could revive the Nigerian Porn Industry being wasted on case that has already been lost post appeal.

Charge and bail lawyer want more money. I will say this again. The only way to upturn president and governorship election at tribunal is to prove with an evidence that you actually won the election. That the candidate INEC declared as winner didn't win majority of valid votes. Any other grounds, certificate issue, past records e.t.c can only succeed as a pre election matter.

Are you the one going to pay the lawyer?
Or was the lawyer not fully paid for losing this case so woefully?

That's how Okupe who was using Sienna bought 2 Range Rovers out of the contributions of Obidients.

If the lawyer is so patriotic, tell him to go to the Supreme Court for free and hear what he will tell you.

How can sane people celebrate the trashing of electronic transmission of results and IREV?

We must appeal!

We actually want to waste our time and resources.

We also want the judgement to be set as precedence and there's no better place for precedence to be set good or bad.

We want the Supreme Court to say INEC can change the mode of transmission during election.

We want them to say Thuvb drug case was targeting his accounts and not him

We want them to say Guinean citizenship was not included initially

We want them to say IREV and electronic transmission is optional

We want them to say you can forge your certificate

We want them to say a political party cannot sue another whether pre or post election

We want them to say even if you supply INEC certify true copies, you still need polling unit witness and EC8s tendered

We want them to say you must prove polling unit by polling unit upto 100 thousand even if you have 2 months.

Once the Supreme Court upholds these dangerous precedence, then we can rest but we will not rest before then!

This is what Tinubu supporters don't know. They don't know that they have sold their destiny to an 80 years old criminal.

My only fear was the INEC judgement ....so INEC is not mandated to transmit result electronically so why the brohala about the electoral acts of 2022? Why was transmission of results electronically inserted in the act?why did the houses of assembly pass your bill? Why did yakubu promise what he couldnt do? Why was over N300bn invested on inec? Why did INEC change the goalpost in the middle of the game?
People forget that it was the electronic transfer of result that made the electoral acts thick and even made people come out whole heartedly to cast their votes and now PEPT is telling us this......

Seems the only thing now is to fight n rig your way into the system, then tell INEC to declare which way!
I wonder what they will say or tell Nigerians again in the forth coming elections in Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo state.
But for me and my household never will I come out to queue and vote in any Nigerian elections again.it does not worth the stress!

The judiciary has just rubbished themselves today. Let us see if the Supreme Court can clean up their mess on behalf of the good of the country.

If it’s finally confirmed that our courts aren’t able to uphold justice then it will signify the beginning of the end of democracy as we know it in this country.

Where are our military generals self? Dem still dey sleep? Okay cool

I will recommend you read the case of Oyetola vs Adeleke in Osun. Oyetola proved his case and succeeded at election tribunal but lost to technicalities at appeal and supreme Court for relying on INEC accreditation print out and not refer to BVAS.

If this case is your recommendation then know that the lawyer that won the case for Adeleke is Peter Obi's lawyer.

I don't need to make any other comment.
