Are you kidding? They ruled based on their self interest and it has nothing to do with justice. The precedence that they set yesterday will haunt Nigeria in time. They sold their conscience for personal interest.
Your opinion!

Hello sir, from the submission to the tribunal there is no clear evidence from peter obi lawyers. They failed to call witness from polling unit where results where not uploaded. I think next time the lawyers should do their job rather than coming to the social media to claim what is not what they presented in the court for us . They told us that they have put everything well but what we see yesterday shows that they did not present enough facts and evidence in the court.

Governors have been sacked before in this country. You didn't prove anything at the tribunal. Stop talking nonsense. You want more money from the naive Peter Obi.

The Obi Integrity

In the build up of the 2023 presidential and national assembly elections, the Obidients, a group of emotional youths in support of the Labour Party's presidential candidate believe and sold to the public through social media their choice of Mr. Peter Obi , stating categorically, that only Mr Obi's victory will savage Nigeria from the many political and social developmental chores.

They built their campaign of support of Mr Obi on character, eloging his integrity as being corrupt free and accountable to public founds.
One thing they failed to tell the public was how Mr Peter Gregory Obi governed Anambra State for 8 years, and there was no local governments executive for 7 years and 8 months of his governance in Anambra. What he did with the funds meant for the payment of local governments chairmen and councilors remain unknown till date. That by so so doing, Mr Obi denied various local governments and council wards their Frenchies in a democratic environment, not only did he denied them their rights to vote and be voted for, he also distanced democracy and development from the people. No wonder, his supporters sees coupe d'etat as the best form of government.

I questioned Mr Peter Obi's integrity during the campaign and electioneering and did not support his candidature because:

i. Peter Obi is the only governor, under whose watch public hospitals were closed for 13 months. The number of deaths caused by such actions were alarming.

ii. In another research on the integrity of Mr Obi, I discovered he refused paying a particular board (ASENPA) throughout the period he was governor of Anambra State. This led to the death of about 280 staff of the ASENPA.

iii. His inability to account for the local governments statuary, among other findings.

The Bible speaking in the Gospel of St. Luke 16: 10, says and I quote “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities".

Mr Peter Gregory Obi has not been faithful to little things given him to take care of, I will not dwell on his stewardship as the governor of Anambra but his 2023 campaigns and the hope of 2027.

During the campaigning period, Obi and his campaign team set up many platforms soliciting for financial support from the public to aid his campaign. Billions were donated to his campaign team, Nigerians in the diaspora who were in the Obidients trail also contributed hugely to ensure the success of his campaign and elections. The likes of Pat Utomi and Aisha Yesufu championed the collection and distribution of account numberd through which theoe funds were made.

As an Integrity group, it is right and very important that Mr Obi and his campaign team give account of how much their realized from the public, how much they spent, how much is remaining or how much they borrowed and are yet to pay back. It will be total disgrace, shame and an abuse on the much complimented integrity of Mr Peter Gregory Obi should he and his campaign team fail to account for what they got from the public.

His integrity will come under question by mindful Obidients should he fail to give public account of the funds realized from the public in support of his presidential campaign. This will further skinned his 2027 chances.

The Official Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Nigeria and her presidential candidate in the February, 25th elections Atiku Abubakar and the All Progressive Congress-APC and her presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu have since, dissolved their campaign teams, accounted for financial spendings and balance returned to the appropriate quarters.
Over 6 months after the presidential election, Mr Corrupt Free and Integrity with his campaign team are yet to give report of their 2023 campaign spendings. This is unacceptable in a democratic society.

IfnobeGod20:

I am perturbed that the judges at the tribunal sold dummy to you. Here below is what the EA says concerning electronic transmission of results even with penalty if not done. Please check specifically section 60 (5) and also INEC guideline 93.

This is the electoral Act quoted verbatim.

Section 60 Nigeria Electoral Act 2022
Counting of votes and forms

(1) The Presiding officer shall, after counting the votes at the polling unit, enter the votes scored by each candidate in a form to be prescribed by the Commission as the case may be.

'footnote'
Note the words "to be prescribed by the commission"

(2) The form shall be signed and stamped by the presiding officer and counter signed by the candidates or their polling agents where available at the polling unit.

(3) The presiding officer shall give to the polling agents and the police officer where available a copy each of the completed forms after it has been duly signed as provided under subsection (2).

(4) The presiding officer shall count and announce the result at the polling unit.

(5) The presiding officer shall transfer the results including total number of accredited voters and the results of the ballot in a manner as prescribed by the Commission.
'footnote'
Pls what are they transferring?
Did the commission prescribed any method to transfer the said accredited voters and results of the ballot?

(6) A presiding officer who wilfully contravenes any provision of this section commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not more than N5 00,000 or imprisonment for a term of at least six months.

'Footnote'
This is the penalty accrued for not following the law and guideline provided by the commission.

Section 64 Nigeria Electoral Act 2022

(4) A collation officer or returning officer at an election shall collate and announce the result of an election, subject to his or her verification and confirmation that the –
(a) number of accredited voters stated on the collated result are correct and consistent with the number of accredited voters recorded and transmitted directly from polling units under section 47 (2) of this Act;

'footnote'
Note the word recorded and transmitted. The word is not submitted but transmitted. These are two different words, meaning different thing.

(b) the votes stated on the collated result are correct and consistent with the votes or results recorded and transmitted directly from polling units under section 60 (4) of this Act.

'footnote'
Transmitted directly from the polling units.

(5) Subject to subsection (1), a collation officer or returning officer shall use the number of accredited voters recorded and transmitted directly from polling units under section 47 (2) of this Act and the votes or results recorded and transmitted directly from polling units under section 60 (4) of this Act to collate and announce the result of an election if a collated result at his or a lower level of collation is not correct.

'footnote'
It is even mandatory for a collation officer or returning officer to compare the recorded results with transmitted results from the above section.

(6) Where during collation of results, there is a dispute regarding a collated result or the result of an election from any polling unit, the collation officer or returning officer shall use the following to determine the correctness of the disputed result –
(a) the original of the disputed collated result for each polling unit where the
election is disputed;
(b) the smart card reader or other technology device used for accreditation of voters in each polling unit where the election is disputed for the purpose of
obtaining accreditation data directly from the smart card reader or technology device;
(c) data of accreditation recorded and transmitted directly from each polling unit where the election is disputed as prescribed under section 47 (2) of this Act; and
'footnote'
In this section, it was made explicit that in case there is a dispute in the collation of results, it is expected for the collation officer or returning officer to rely on data of accreditation recorded and transmitted directly from each polling unit so disputed.

(d) the votes and result of the election recorded and transmitted directly from
each polling unit where the election is disputed, as prescribed under section 60 (4) of this Act.

(7) If the disputed result under subsection (6) were otherwise found not to be correct, the collation officer or returning officer shall re-collate and announce a new result
using the information in subsection (6) (a)-(d).

Section 65 Nigeria Electoral Act 2022
Decision of returning officer on ballot paper

(1) The decision of the returning officer shall be final on any question arising from or relating to –
(a) unmarked ballot paper;
(b) rejected ballot paper; and
(c) declaration of scores of candidates and the return of a candidate:

Provided that the Commission shall have the power within seven days to review the declaration and return where the Commission determines that the said declaration and return was not made voluntarily or was made contrary to the provisions of the law, regulations and guidelines, and manual for the election.

The last paragraph is even the cruise of everything. The commission even reserve the right to void an announced results within seven days wherein its detected that the declaration was done against the provisions of the law and guidelines and manual for the election.
'footnote'
Breached of:
1. Provisions of the law (both constitution and Electoral Act)
2. INEC guidelines
3. INEC manual so provided
The breached of any of these three can render the election null and void according to Electoral Act quoted above.

By the last paragraph of section 65, INEC not following its own guidelines make every election null and void as stated above.

INEC guidelines for you to read
92. At every level of collation, where the INEC copy of collated results from the
immediate lower level of collation exists, it shall be adopted for collation.

93. Where the INEC hardcopy of collated results from the immediate lower level of collation does not exist, the Collation Officer shall use electronically transmitted results or results from the IReV portal to continue collation. Where none of these exist, the Collation Officer shall ask for duplicate hardcopies issued by the Commission to the following bodies in the order below:
(i) The Nigeria Police Force; and
(ii) Agents of Political Parties

94. Where no hardcopy of collated results is available, the results, where possible, shall be regenerated from the preceding level (Collation or Polling Unit) in accordance with Clause 93 of these Regulations and Guidelines.

Now, INEC collated results, they were asked to make them available but went giving blurred results, knowing fully well that a CTC is also tenable in court.

I would advise that those aggrieved should go back to court, that is supreme court to test the veracity of the law, if INEC chairman would be greater than what the law and guidelines say.

You're so daft young man, where is it mandatory or mentioned that it must be collected electronically?

Simple as ABC.

Waste of funds!

Funds that could revive the Nigerian Porn Industry being wasted on case that has already been lost post appeal.

Lawyer must eat. The case will continue to Supreme Court but the result may not differ due to the lack of credible evidence. Same lawyer should have replied on the LP agents reports. Perhaps they should do some research on cases where results were upturned for greater understanding.

I guess it was nice of them doing 'Judicial business' with APC and tinubu. grin

I like their boldness, they took the bribe billions and told Nigerians to do their worst. I don't like pretentious thieves, I like confidently corrupt people with proper thieving boldness like these Judges. grin

I won't go to gutter along with you with your diatribe because I know your type, the next line you would hear is, obidients are abusive and this and that but they would never say they are the one that first started it.
Even if they posted what I extracted from the EA million times, you will still not extrapolate the content therein. So it is never my fault.
