They tried to create tension btw the South South & South West hiding under obidents to deceive our people with propaganda but failed.

They never knew that, the Palace of the Great Oba of Benin is a point of contact between the Yoruba and over 40% of South South people with Benin origin.

The Yoruba love and support for the South South region made us produced Senate President, FCT Minister for the first time.✌️

President Tinubu and Wike relationship built on trust and fairness has solidified the friendly relationship btw the Yoruba and the Niger Delta people.❤️🤝

We must work together for the development of our regions and Nigeria at large.

May Tinubu succeed 🇳🇬

Why do some of you hide under SS zone to type rubbish ?

You can't call out your ethnic group because you know that the real people from such ethic group will come out and denounce you, so you had to hide under SS cover.. Are you such a big coward to be ashamed of your tribe ?

Don't drag SS region into your mess, even if you must do it, speak for your ethnicity alone if you are from the region which I doubt..

Don't drag us into your state of pH*lishness..

Speak for yourself.. Don't speak for Ibos of SS extraction and others ethnicities in the region..

Self h@ting nairaland clown!.

You can keep modifying your comments and threads after being called out . undecided

No one is stopping you from loving anyone outside your community but it is very infantile bringing others into it

Were they the ones that constructed coffins for Jonathan or caricatured him as a goat or called him Jonatharam........face front and enjoy your romance unless you have fetish for threesomes.

Yoruba supported Jonathan to be VP and President in 2011 but Jonathan couldn’t play his politics well and lost majority votes from the South West in 2015

Today is a new era, we are correcting the mistakes, the SS and SW alliance is here to stay for the better of our dear country.

But why are the Igbo people always angry when they hear South South and South West unity?

You are crying about the past while others are building alliances and correcting previous mistakes! Wahala

I wonder where that love and support went to when Yorubas helped push out a President from the South/South, GEJ, in favour of a Northerner, Buhari?

If you must refer to Benin, then can I gently correct you that Benin and Delta are Midwest. This contraption called South South just exists in peoples minds, it's not anywhere in the constitution. Midwest region was the only region created by democratic vote. . No true Edo person recognizes this 'South South' thing.

I however totally agree that Edo and Yoruba are about the closest ethnic groups in the south, we are practically cousins with lots of shared traditions(Although na Ijebu jazz get power pass our own! cheesy)

An averagE SW person holds nothing against anyone from any tribe

They intuitively saw how progressively the SS people wanna align and they quickly wanna form alliance with them

Thats how great minds relate

When Akeredolu said Tinubu is the Capone of SW/SS politics, I honestly had no clue what he was talking. Now I understand all..

SS knows how to play politics. They’re likely to be the one to produce the next president from southern extraction..

I am tired of Yoruba made up stories. Listen the Oba of Benin is great and he is the emperor of a great empire (Precolonial map below). But the Yoruba need to stop trying to appropriate the Benin monarchy and Benin history. The Benin people and Benin empire is older than Yoruba, so don't get confused. As for the "point of contact between Yoruba...", whatever that means, just stop. You can have love and respect for the Benin monarchy, that doesn't mean you need to bring out your ethnic fairytales at every turn and claim without proof what has no links with you.
Some people who call themselves Yoruba today are actually Benin descendants, yes, but Benin descendants are a vary large multilingual group as seen in the Precolonial map (many groups currently identified as ethnicities are actual Benin descendents), so in that case where does the "point of contact between Yoruba ..." come from ?
I swear if you start talking about fairytale figures like oduduwa and oranmiyan...

Nobody should be fooled, Yoruba in general have no love for any other southerner. They think of themselves only and backstabb the rest of the south to achieve their goals.
