What warning do you have on the dash?
It's not even kicking, just normal remove key from ignition is what it is showing

The three pronged star no longer sits pretty atop the pile. Other brands have narrowed the gap considerably in build quality and tech offerings while the key factor of reliability and second hand value has fallen away.

Seems the ghosts of the merger with Chrysler is refusing to go away.

cheesy

No.

A man's car is a wife of sorts.

If his Toyota or Honda is with him as an everyday car, sticking with him in times of trouble, in rain or shine, through thick and thin, in sickness and in health...then why should he abandon this dependable, reliable partner for the fickle prestige grin of a good time, fair weather German woman who will fail him when the going gets tough?

If you are good enough to be there for everyday life, you're good enough for the 'prestigious occasions'.

Nippon...ride or die...partners for life!

It doesn't mean that something else doesn't taste better. The high performance of benz and cutting edge tech with quality parts and exciting interior will give you one in a lifetime pleasure. Life nah once. Enjoy 😉 once you have money, having more than 3 cars won't be an issue. It's like having many shoes. They will have use. Some ppl specifically buys Tundra for its aggressiveness. Some keep G wagon for its masculine feel and Class. 😎

Ok. To each his own.

I believe Mercedes' best days are behind it. The company now relies heavily on advertising, branding and loyalty of old customers to stay relevant. These are intangibles. When it comes to the stuff which can actually be measured (things like reliability) Mercedes does not do well at all.

Once you look at Mercedes Benz with a critical eye - the aura begins to fade. Is it performance? Every major car manufacturer (Lexus, Infiniti, BMW, Subaru, Porsche, Audi, Acura) these days has at least one car with good power to weight ratios AND a power to displacement ratio more than 100bhp per litre - there is nothing Mercedes has that others don't have here. Is it handling? Again, several car makers (Mazda, Acura/Honda, BMW, Porsche, VW/Audi, Subaru) has at least one car that handles as well as any one of Mercedes Benz' production vehicles. Reliability? Other car makers (Japanese cars in particular) have a far, far better record than Mercedes.

There was a time Mercedes Benz actually built cars that were reliably, solidly built - the W123 and W124 come to mind. Those cars had solid engines and transmissions and build quality was superb. Those days are long gone.

Benz and others.. Honda drives good with fading interior and too many fake plastics. Toyota is as boring as existing and not living. The other ones aren't even as reliable as Benz.

All these problems will become history soon with Electric cars stepping into the scene.

And when the batteries die, you'll spend 90% of the cost you purchased the car to replace the batteries.

You know modern innovation comes with lots of financial sacrifice.

Think of most of mobile phones we use here. Once the original battery that comes with it becomes weak, subsequent ones are as bad as that.
Imagine having such issues with electric cars and how much it will take to buy original batteries especially if you not around countries that produce the batteries.
