Let me not forget to say God bless this committee members. You are doing a big job. You go to foreign creditors to borrow for road construction and other projects but there are hyenas and wolves already waiting to eat it up. Then they'd come back after inflating the contract heavily and say, contractors can't finish the job cos the budget was small and they needed supplementary budget and approval to enable them finish and they'd still not finish it. There several federal projects which had been said to have received up to 70% mobilisation but now either abandoned or stopped. The federal government would now apply for more loans for same project and it ends up in same pocket .

They'd now be servicing the loan obtained to do elephant projects with the proceeds from crude and few exports.

That's the major problem we're facomg as a country, not the lean amount of goods we export. There are many developed countries who don't export much as well. They don't even have crude but are doing well.

Apc is a scam, know this and be alright. I've said this times without number. There are several of the likes of that accountant general who stole over 100bn and still walking freely today. Maybe the guy was exposed because he stepped on toes.

And the road work got abandoned for five years. Ask: if the Federal Ministry of Works has no record of its roads and their conditions at any time, why don't the legislature bring the conditions of every federal road to the attention of the Ministry of Works? This is Owerri-Orlu Awka road literally completed in 1983 by the Federal Ministry of Works, but never used because a little bridge was not built. How did the Federal Ministry of Works "forget" its own road since then?
