It's great, but it is missing two things: planted trees and pavement over the gutters. These are essential and should be a staple of road construction. Kudos to them for including street lights.

You can see that woman walking on the main road. That's a big NO. It is dangerous

Some folks are just pathetic. Just because the governor is LP member, you have to criticize even an obvious monumental development. When David umahi was transforming ebonyi state, we praises him not because of his party but because of his good job. For the first time in history of abia state, we got it right. Keep hating. Na you go tire

This is a good road. But I have issue with Nigerian road construction in general. When building things, we need to account for practicality rather than just building for the sake of building. This road is missing a pavement. Why? Also, it needs trees. Trees are essential to increase happiness and also filter oxygen.

I HONESTLY DON'T KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE.

WHAT A SHODDY, SUBSTANDARD AND PRIMITIVE ROAD.

What is a blasted OPEN GUTTER doing on a brand new road?

WHY is that poor woman having to walk ON THE ROAD?

WHERE IS THE PEDESTRIAN SIDEWALK?

ARE THESE PEOPLE IMBECILES?

I'M SICK OF SEEING THESE DISGUSTING RUBBISH THEY CALL ROADS IN NIGERIA

This is RWANDA, not London.

RWANDA that is still recovering from genocide and civil war.

What is so hard about building your roads like this?

Na so e dey be

Na so e go continue until una come back to una senses and stop allowing loss of election give you mental breakdown. mental breakdown as a result of election loss only happen to those who are new to voting which almost 90% Obidients were in 2023....and that why they lost because they think they can come and bamboozle everybody and in 6 months Obi will be president.
If they still go about it this same way in future elections....they will still fail.

Elections is not about emotions and social media noise .... election is real hard work and not for the weak like Obi who even though claims to be youth couldn't even go round the whole country while shaky shaky daddy went to every nook and cranny of the country campaigning which paid of with a win.

Nice, but they need to ensure the roads are clean of dust, sediment and litter. Showcasing a new road like this, care ought to have been taken to make it look its best before snapping pics to upload on social-media.
Let's see the one in your osun state

But if this was about another state, I’m sure some nincomp00ps like you would have been saying things like “wow, Nigerians still celebrating roads in 2023” just the same way some of you tried rubbishing Lagos blue line rail system.

Seriously, I want to know what is being taught to civil engineers and urban and regional planners in Nigerian universities. They are the absolute worst. As an example, there is a neighborhood in my locality where the main express is built with cobblestone bricks while the inner streets are built with asphalt bitumen. Downright distasteful. Most of them are not qualified to build roads. It's not for lack of fund, it's for lack of actual expertise. Most people simply copy and paste some already shoddy work and recreate same shoddy work. They do not understand how to build roads for a neighborhood, much less one that is attractive.

Why do you people reason upside-down.
The topic is about a road in Abia State.
Why are you like this?
