Drake is known for making significant bets before fights and did so on Adesanya ahead of the main event of UFC 293.

The 36-year-old Canadian rapper flaunted a massive $500,000 wager made on Adesanya to defeat Sean Strickland in the main event.

Drake would receive $920,000 if Adesanya were defeated but now he is trending on social media.

After Adesanya lost, fans pointed out that Drake had lost a total of 400 million naira from his latest bet.

The Canadian rapper has, however, also suffered some devastating losses because every high is followed by a low.

In August, Drake spent $250K (£200,000) on Nate Diaz to defeat Jake Paul, but the YouTuber ultimately prevailed by unanimous decision.

Drake was not the only major celebrity to get the fight between Adesanya and Strickland wrong.

American-born Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer David Adedeji Adeleke who is professionally known as Davido wished Adesanya good luck but it backfired.

Adesanya has now put out a message that he will address the loss to Strickland later.
