Ebonyi Indigenes that are still of school age were seen in Lagos hawking. Ebonyi state government should do something about the menace of millions of ebonyi people wandering everywhere in Nigeria. Ebonyi State government should make consistent effort in retaining those teenage boys in school. They used to be known more for going to villages in other South eastern states to clear farms and make mounds for cassava and yam planting but over the years there are huge numbers of them in street hawking, trafficked by some elements from their home towns to sell for them on the streets with them hoping to be bosses someday and also traffic some boys to hawk for them.....this vicious circle must stop. Billions Umahi ought to have used in retaining these young ones in secondary schools, vocational and technical institutions, he wasted on the white elephant project called airport. 4 Likes 1 Share |
