Yes, around the world, Community Policing has been proven to be one of the most effective means of crime prevention.

In Abia State for instance, we have the Abia State Community Policing/vigilante comprised of the various Community Vigilante outfits across the 17 Local Governments of the State.

The Federal and State Governments should endeavour to provide the much needed support, stipends and funds to encourage these agencies.

State policing under state governors is the only way to curb insecurities in Nigeria.

Corruption was the "why". Not because we can't afford subsidy payment. Remember, there are many things Nigeria govt is not providing for her citizens despite having endless natural resources: electricity, water, security, mortgages, health insurance, unemployment benefits, etc. Only subsidy on fuels, they still had to remove it due to corruption.

Lol. That's what you are told, not necessarily the truth. Have you asked yourself why Nigerian politicians are the highest paid political office holders in the world? Simple. Because there is enough money to pay themselves.

State police and local council police, please. Break it up. No prosperous country uses a federal police which has been hijacked by some people to entrench security of lives and property.
