I think Wike's desperation to hang on to PDP is for strategic reason known to him alone. He has worked against the party through his actions and otherwise at every opportunity.

On the other hand, a thousand Amaechi cannot stop Wike if he wants to lead the Rivers state APC. he practically confined Amaechi to Abuja even as a federal minister while Wike was an opposition governor. Amaechi knows Wike is his master any day.

Going through history one would notice that Wike has been Amaechi's benefactor. It is on record that when they were trying to upstage Celestine Omehia as the governor of the state then, Amaechi was hiding in Ghana while Wike was keeping the struggle alive back home.

A combination of these two guys in Rivers state could have had an unimaginable magnitude of mafia-like control with Wike as the Don. But fate, destiny or even God rescued the state by not allowing them to cooperate with each other.

Wike owns Rivers state for now and I see him holding it by the jugular for a long time with careful planning.

FYI, they are not talking about winning or losing elections but weakening the opposition.
Besides, I don't see how PDP made you have the present govt when you willy nilly voted for APC.

The horse long left the stable, dear PDP. The 2023 elections were theirs to lose. Unfortunately the greed of Atiku cost them so much.

That said, PDP is no longer in the position to call itself an opposition party. The elections and current tribunals have thrown Labour Party and the Obidients as the true opposition in the country. Obidients are the true watchmen and women. With then APC surely will have plenty of sleepless nights.

Of what relevance, value and application is Amaechi to APC whether at the national or state level. They will hold their usual Congress, convention and whatever now, and you wll never hear Amaechi's name again. Where is Abdullahi ,Adamu again with his seeming 'omnipotence '

PDP is my most disliked party. I hate it when someone has resources to be successful but cannot just apply himself to the job at hand. That's pdp! Something you can't take from APC is seriousness, Since thier formation.
