Have you written a will?

If yes why
If no why?
Do you think you won't die? Or you think you have nothing to will?
Even you boxers and G String Na property

Sit down for 1 day and write a will
That will let you know who is really important to you

You won't be here for ever don't deceive yourself

Everything you think you own you met on this earth you have merely rearranged it and when the time comes you won't take a pin

There's no need writing a will. If you write a will, your family may still contest it in court.

Just make a video recording of yourself and hand it over to your lawyer. When you die, your lawyer will play it in the presence of all parties.

By the way, Next of Kin that banks always ask for is totally useless.

I think what he was trying to say is that at this time and age, hand written or typed will is useless.

And I agree with him. A video of you speaking would silence warring parties.

To me, will is for polygamous homes. If you have one wife and 2-3 kids, what do you need a will for. If you die, you wife would take over what you have and use to sustain herself and her kids.

If the kids are of age, she can easily guide them on how to go about sharing whatever needs to be shared amongst themselves.

Just let them know all your properties, businesses and accounts. That's all.

I never said a video isn't a will.

I said a recorded video will is much more better than handwritten will.

Well follow the context of the conversation

There is such a thing as superfluous talk which is what you are engaging in now

Whether it is better or not is your opinion not the opinion of the law.

There is no legal authority for that assumption

Are you in some way suggesting your will can be overruled? In what situation? By what court? undecided

2. So what is the difference between the two? No be will both of them be? Are you in some way insinuating one is better than the other? undecided

I am saying don't write it. Instead, make a video.

The best thing is to do both.
A video can't stand as a will.
Anyone that can contest a will can also dismiss a video.

I am not a lawyer but I have access to Google which have links to articles written by lawyers that a video recording can't be accepted by court.

Videos can be accepted by court subject to several criteria/conditions
but would still be subject to rules of evidence, admissibility and so on.
what is wrong and silly is the idea that they are "better" than written wills.
I think that is based on too much Nollywood. There is no legal basis for such a ridiculous assertion

Wills must be dated and witnessed to have any validity and written wills can be done in court in the presence of a judge

Anyway let us not derail with silly arguments

The point here is if you have made a will and who would you want to have your property if you die today
