For many years, Bola Tinubu lied to Yorubas, especially the uninformed Yoruba youths that Goodluck Jonathan hated Yorubas, that Goodluck Jonathan sidelined Yorubas and favored only Igbos in his appointments. Tinubu used this dangerous lies to rally Yoruba people against Goodluck in 2015 and also used this to justify why Yorubas must never support any Igbo person for President in Nigeria because to him and most Yorubas, Igbos are the worst set of people in Nigeria who like to dominate everybody and take every available position in Nigeria. When Buhari came to power in 2015 and started a very dangerous nepotism targeted against Igbos, well meaning Nigerians cried out and condemned Buhari for appointing only Hausa-Fulanis as key political appointees in his government, but guess what? Yorubas supported Buhari and said by the way Goodluck did same by appointing only Igbos into key positions in his government and heaven didn't fall, that Buhari is free to appoint anybody he likes. This backing from Yorubas gave Buhari the more courage to solidify his nepotism by making sure all key and major political appointments during his regime went to Fulanis first, and then core Muslim Hausas second, then Yorubas third before any other tribe is considered. Bola Tinubu then came on board, though on a controversial mandate that is still being questioned, but for now he is the President and Nigerians expected him to act differently from Buhari by doing away with Buhari's shameful nepotism, what did we get? A more nepotistic Tinubu who ignored all voice of reasoning to continue exactly where Buhari the most failed President in the whole world stopped. Tinubu has been busy appointing only Yorubas to key political positions and the most shameful part of it is that Yorubas who claimed to be progressive in politics, who lied to the whole world that Bola Tinubu built Lagos on equity and fairness are now openly supporting Tinubu for appointing only Yorubas into virtually all key positions, and guess their excuse? Goodluck appointed only Igbos during his own regime. Yorubas shamelessly claimed that Goodluck Jonathan appointed only Igbos in his government, that Jonathan didn't appoint any Yoruba even when Goodluck Jonathan fought to make a Yoruba woman the first female House of Reps Speaker in Nigeria which Tinubu used uninformed PDP lawmakers to frustrate and made sure a Northern man, Tambuwal got that post as Speaker of House of Reps as against the Yoruba woman Goodluck Jonathan wanted. Igbos don’t knw how to play Nigeria politics. From what I read online I thought Igbos even occupied all key positions in GEJ administration. Igbo politicians really need to learn from Yorubas and employ propagandist dishing out lies to look like truth. Many people even believe that all key positions was occupied by Igbos prior to 2015!
