A fake news has been going round about the Chief of Staff to President Tinubu, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila regarding his U.S law license.

The fake news emanated from online news platform People's Gazette who earlier claimed the license was terminated as a result of Femi Gbajabiamila stealing a client's money.

The truth about the reason for the termination of Gbajabiamila's U.S law license was revealed in a tweet by one Mr. Aye Dee, a public policy and security expert through social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter). The Tweet reads

"Our President's Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabamiala (@femigbaja) did NOT lose his Georgia law license due to wrong doing, he lost it because he did NOT pay the fees to renew it. Have a great day."

The fake new is already being celebrated and shared by opposition to the current administration of President Tinubu

I pointed out same thing on the thread now. We are now in an era where fake news thrives. It’s so unfortunate.

If the DSS makes an arrest for disturbance of public peace or Mr. Femi Gbaja sues for character assassination and defamation, opposition to common sense will start tagging United Nations that Nigeria is gagging journalists or freedom of speech.

The worst part of it all is that these top Lagos politicians lets fake news slide without taking serious action to not make such happen again, that's what's causing the temerity of People's Gazette and other Twitter influencers to mislead the public

That is correct. If he was terminated due to something else, they would have stated it.

People Gazette using find a news that happened, then superimpose their own lies on it to magnify it and put it out.

It seems he used to live in Midtown area self.

A lot of top politicians have learnt to live with fake news because of the implication of fighting back. Opposition politicians will join forces with opposition media platforms, extremely uninformed OAPs and irresponsible bloggers who just want traction to trend the fake news like forever. So, it’s easier to just grow a tough skin and let the news die instead of fighting back.

Naira Marley is now public enemy number one. This is the same guy that was arrested was fraud about three years ago and almost all the young people calling for his head now turned themselves to marlians on his behalf. If government had dealt with him fully then, maybe Mohbad would still be alive today.

I Ignored the news when I saw it and I'm sure oga Gbaja did ignore it too..

Seriously, something has to be done to curb the image slandering on the rise now in Nigeria.. Like how did we descend this low as a people.

Nairaland is not helping matters these days. Some stories don’t deserve to be magnified by Nairaland no matter the platform that published them. Every sensible person knew the story was false but one moderator still think it’s cool to give it more traction.

Look, I know the wait can be harrowing. But can you not be antagonistic for a while? Your disposition changed ever since the Michael Kadoso thing and I told you the mistake is gonna be fixed. Yeah, right, the wrong Kadoso was appointed. We will put the right Kadoso, which is you, there. Ok? Can you not be grumpy?😉
