I have thousands of yams harvested in my farm. How do you advise me to go by it in order to ameliorate the sufferings of direct consumers due to high cost of foods rather than going through the middle men who will eventually make the price go up for the final consumers? |

Where's your farm? What's your average price? And what supply chain plans do you have in place? Post a pic of a couple of yams , let's see the size. We will work it out with you. |

Sell in neighborhood where things are not so expensive and sell at around market price but slightly less. Good concept because middlemen since the time of the prophets in Old Testament have been unionizing to fix prices. Corn of around N400 a measure in bush markets is being rushed by same middlemen as we speak yet they sell N800-N850 in city market in same state. |

nomolos92:they are rent seekers in reality because after overcrowding the buying / selling business or commerce, they realize the profit margin is too small to sustain them, instead of going into production, they begin fixing prices via trade unions. That's why inflation hardly reverses when factors causing it becomes relaxed. |
