Praxis758: That ex-parte injunction is a constitutional anomaly and rightly does not prevent the State Assembly from going ahead with the impeachment proceedings. 24 Likes |

Akeredolu should be thankful that he did not die in the surgeon to theatre while taking medical treatment overseas. His action to use the state House of Assembly to impeached his Deputy Governor is quite disturbing. He should be gratful that he is still alive to continue as governor of Ondo state. 7 Likes |

See how governors cage the legislature and judiciary. Those two truly need independence. Aketi must have given them huge sums to get rid of his deputy. Nigeria needs sweeping reforms to give other arms of government total freedom from the executive. 8 Likes |

The Speaker of the ODHA is a skivvy of the executive governor. Aiyedatiwa is going nowhere. Even though I don't support him... If the deputy governor really talks all sane thinking people will lynch the governor and his court jesters called legislators. 1 Like |

Akeredolu has less than 14months and He just go back on His feet after a major sickness but rather than live with the consciousness that Life is short and make peace with everyone, He is going the Obaseki way. Unfortunately, that way is for people who have forgotten that power is Transient and that Peace is more important cos never quantify the extent of damage a 'war' will cause. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I wonder what is wrong with ondo state. They have the highest number of unloyal deputy Governors. Ali olanusi, agboola and Lucky. Lucky cannot be Governor. There is an agreement on ground. We have the likes of kekemeke, okusola oke and others from lucky senetoral district that dropped there governorship ambition for Akeredolu hoping to come back after Akeredolu. And lucky is now trying to join them. Lucky is digging his political grave and he may not bounce back. His own people is against him OndoFirstBorn: |

searchng4love:Not quite! The Courts are empowered in such matters ONLY to decide on whether the procedure for impeachment was followed. The Courts have no business trying the issue of veracity of impeachable offenses. Impeachment is the biggest tool the Constitution granted the legislature to check erring executive but corruption is the heavy load that has weighed it down in putting it to effective use. Buhari, Obasanjo et al did not deserve a day longer in office after the malfeasance they serially committed while President. 3 Likes |
