The book he wrote is entitled "Among the Ibos of Southern Nigeria" by Reverend George T. Basden who lived and worked as a reknowned missionary in Onitsha.

As 1910 , Lagos was not part of Nigeria but a seperate British Colony.

The few Ibos in Lagos were returnee slaves from the Americas who refused to go back to their homeland.

Ibo migration began much later and was more towards the north after Lugard's almagation in 1914.
