It is very disingenuous on the poster of the above to make the audience believe that Igbo were the only group killed in 1953 Kano riot. The riot was staged by the northerners, who wanted colonialism to continue, against the southerners who wanted self governance by 1956. The two immediate cause of the riot were the introduction of a motion for self rule in the 1953 by a member of Action Group and when the Action Group northern tour reached Kano. The majority of the people killed were Yoruba. As usual, the Yoruba cowered into denial and allow Ndigbo to do the fighting.
