5) each book is 1/16

If 14books weighs 7/8kg then 1 book is 7/8/14/1 = 7/8 * 1/14 =7/112 = 1/16

I take it that you are in primary school(primary 2 or lower) by the nature of these questions. I will not answer any of these questions for you, but I will give you a piece of advice. There is a reason why students/pupils are required to do homework problems on their own, that is the only way that they(students) can actually learn anything, by actually solving the problems and not relying on readymade solutions that they simply copy down from social media.

By the way, BIG SHAME to all the adults of age on this thread that sent you answers to your homework questions instead of encouraging you to actually work on learning your class material.

This is clearer.

Question 5:

14 books equals 7/8 kg

1 book = x (kg)

Let x be the weight of one book.

To find x, 14 is greater than one, which means the kg of 1 book must be reduced.

Therefore, x = 1/14 X 7/8

= 1/16 kg

x = 1/16 kg.

Question 3: #1 equals 100 kobo

80 kobo = X (naira)

80/100 X 1= 4/5.

Question 2:

3/4 meters made a cap from a cloth.

Convert to cm, 100cm = 1 meters
3/4 meters = x

x = 3/4 ÷ 1 x 100
3/4 x 100 = 75 cm.

So 75 cm made 1 cap from a cloth.

Then 3 2/4 or 14/4 or 7/2 cm will make Y caps

7/2 X 1/75 X 1 = 7/150 caps. The question is wrong.
YOUR NUMBER TWO QUESTION IS WRONG.

It says 3/4 meters not cm. Look at the units.

The first one is 3/4 meters, the second is 3 2/4 centimeters.

This is the sort of word problems that I would expect Primary 2 pupils to be capable of solving, at least that's how it was in my days.
