No, He was trying to be politically savvy cos only 2 candidates were presented at the said time. As soon as Obi started gaining momentum, which is a big stumbling block to his pay master Atiku, he started attacking Obi.
Reason: He's trying to tear down the political structure of PDP. Which would have given his master a better leverage to counter APC and still maintain its PDP strongholds.
2ndly, most members of their Party are migrating to Labour Party
