Ijebu people are not lagosian bro. They have been moving to Lagos and doing business here for so many years even before we were born. It doesn’t mean they are lagosian! Badagry, Isale Eko, Epe,some parts of Ikorodu and Ebute metta are real Lagosians.
People in Ikorodu and Epe are Ijebus!!!!!

That is the issue.

The people in Isale Eko are not even the original settlers, they are mostly returnee slaves and those the whites took from various towns to Lagos Island.

Same for Ebute Metta

When Lagos was created, and the other units of Ikeja, Ikorodu and the likes were added, these places had inhabitants, these inhabitants were actually people who are either Awori, Ijebu or Egba.

some of them like Ocean, hence the name OLOKUN, meaning the owner of the Ocean, whom they pour libations and pay obeisance to
Mynd44:
When people in the know say over 85% of Lagos is owned by the Eguns, Aworis, Ijebu and Egbas, people who have no idea of history's position will be mentioning Lagos island.

And this is also why you can't say an Awori ma isn't a Lagosian or an Ijebu person isn't a Lagosian because the large expanse of the Lagos mainland used to be their "Aba" (Farmland) the only part of Lagos that was out are the VI And Lagos Island because Yorubas never liked the Ocean and stayed away from it.

But the rest of the Land, e get owner

You nailed it perfectly, now all estate developers who had acquired land from the former acclaimed owner will have to make repurchase or forfeit all asset on the said land.

You're contradicting yourself, you said Ijebus are not Lagosian but Epe and Ikorodu are the real Lagosian. But you are ignorant of the fact that Epe, Ikorodu belongs to the Ijebus. If you're yoruba, it's a big shame to you but if you're ibo, i can't really blame you tho. Let me inform you that a Lagosian is different from Omo Eko, you may come from Anambra or Cameroon and claim being a Lagosian but an Omo Eko/Ibile are the owners of Lagos.

Ikorodu and Epe are Ijebus -True

Isale- Eko doesn't have any returnee slaves. Returnee slaves only settled in Popo Aguda and Brazilian Quarters. Campus, Igbosere Freeman, Epetedo up to Lafiaji Obalende.

Aromire that owns the largest portion of Lagos Island is an Awori.

Eti-Osa Lekki and Ibeju Lekki are Own by Ijebus Ikorodu and Epe.

Isale-Eko people are predominantly Awori, Ijebu. All the Eletus, are Ijebus. Likewise most of the cultural identity in Isale-Eko are mostly that of Ijebu and Awori. E.g. Oju Olobun, Obun means Market in Ijebu dialect. Iga is also an Ijebu dialect same with Iduganran. Iganran means pepper in Ijebu dialect.

thanks for this brief knowledge of history, I am an aborigine of Lagos from the Egba clan and my paternal grandmother is Egun. When some migrants that cross the Niger in search of greener pastures wanted to rewrite our history with their nonsense rhetoric just because of our liberal nature,I just laugh at their shameless display of ignorance on here. Lagos is Yoruba land and who doesn’t like it can swim inside the lagoon for all I care grin

As long as that petty trader in 2*2 koisk paid for the shop and has documents of title, till heaven comes down, he owns that 2*2 portion of Lagos where his petty koisk is situated and there is nothing anybody can do about it. He didn't steal it, he bought it. He is not even squatting, he has legal rights to claim ownership, regardless his name, origin or religion.
You guys in Lagos should get it into your thick heads

I just pity those already in the net of Epe real estate scammers 😀

As in eh!!! 99.9% of real estate dealers selling land in Epe Lagos are scammers. That's the latest scam now, even Yahoo boys have joined the scam. A plot of land is sold to like 10 different people, in the name of virtual plot. There will be serious wahala in 6 - 10 years time when development will reach those areas.

I am from Badagry, do you also understand that Hundeyin is not of Egun descent of Badgry but of Benin Republic? Hundeyin is not from Badagry-Lagos but from benin. Even his side of Benin Republic is more closer to Togo than Nigeria. If you have heard of python worshippers, that's where he originates from. They have a popular resort, where i spent my 2022 vacation when i visited Nigeria. He is one of those whose parents migrated to Badgary and overtime had forged different documents to claim they are from Badagry. That's why his parents are not known deep rooted in Badagry.
The good thing is, now that he has dual citizenship, he is claiming he is originally from Ouidah (pronounced Widah).

Ifako/Ijaye is full of Egbas and Awori, there is even a dedicated bus stop called Awori and one called Abule Egba (meaning town of egba), part of Alimosho is inhabited by Yewas.
The whole of Epe and Ibeju-Lekki are fully inhabited, if not owned, by the Ijebus. The ceremonial Lekki Free Zone is inhabited by Ijebus, apart from the Ghanaian settlers who migrated because of fishing activities

Ikorodu, Epe, Ibeju lekki, belongs to ijebus. Badagry belongs to eguns

Some parts of ifako ijaiye belongs to egbas

The rest of the 16 local governments belongs to Aworis
