NBC is one of the appendages of government used in gagging and muzzling freedom of expression,you can't expect right-thinking Nigerians to be nice with words with government built on fraud.

Oga, broadcasting has its rules and regulations of which Arise Tv is a signatory. Make una try dey put sentiments aside most times and speak to the issue. If the NBC today shut down Arise Tv indefinitely, una go para pass this and nothing will happen. Abi na you go dey in front of the protest?

I also watched the programme and saw with disgust the manner in which Dele Farotimi described the Nigerian system, especially the Judiciary. He spoke too wittily of the legislature and made the worst of the Executive! I wonder where he got his guts from. I expected the NBC to immediately act even as the programme was being aired.

While it may be true that his party lost at the election or was rigged out, i think a level of decency is expected from a person of Mr Farotimi's calibre. He, being a lawyer should be more reserved, composed and mannered, afterall that's what they demonstrate before the mere mortal whom they call their Lords in the courtroom. So sad!

Broadcasting has ethics which are clearly stated in NBC codes. I don't think NBC oversteps its boundary if it cautions a media outfit that violate its codes.
Broadcasting stations are regulated by NBC, if Arise TV does not want to be regulated, it should move to social media platforms.

NBC is actually being partisan. I personally did not see what Arise TV has done that is bad. The real reason is that politicians are finding it uncomfortable to answer questions in Arise TV because they have to face some uncomfortable truths about themselves especially from Rufai Oseni. This is no different from what Christian Amanpour does in CNN. This is just another attempt at gagging the press, in a subtle manner

Arise TV journalists are the people doing the harassing.

Every profession have their own code of conduct guiding them and journalism isn't different. Arise TV have been breaking almost all of them and they talk like the people who gather at a newspaper stand every morning.

Arise TV should be professional at their job and stop using their platform to antagonise persons whose views they don't align with.

If a radio station can be sanctioned for what a caller said, how much more the presenter.

No how are they harassing because they are asking questions deemed uncomfortable by the thieving politicians? Christian Amanpour of CNN asks these same uncomfortable questions to people as well when she interviews them, it is not by force to grant an interview in Arise if you don't have the balls to answer the tough questions. Journalists are the 4th estate in democracy, and their job is to ensure that viewers get the true facts, if NBC seeks to silence them via fake regulations then it is a misnomer.

Arise TV is the last station you tune to when you need a clear and unbiased information on anything political.
