The devil is able to spiritually attack people whilst they sleep just as much as when they are awake.
However, Ephesians 6:10-11 says “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

If you experience sleep paralysis and you believe the experience to be caused by demons, you can try some of the following things:

1. Put on the whole armor of God in your life. Ephesians 6:13-18 says: “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.

In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.

2. It is important pray and trust in the Lord to protect you whilst you are sleeping. Therefore meditate on God’s word and pray for God’s protection before you go to bed. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says “But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.”

3) Call on the name of Jesus Christ during your sleep paralysis. Remember that every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11).
Jesus Christ has the name above all names and demons are known to tremble at the name of Jesus Christ. In fact, in the scriptures, demons are cast out at the name of Jesus.

4) Do not go to bed with anger or unforgiveness in your heart as the devil can take advantage of your mental stress whilst you sleep. Ephesians 4:26-27 says “Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil.”

Sleep paralysis is a health condition.
It is a temporary loss of muscle control just before falling asleep or before waking up.

Rubbish claims! undecided

Any wonder why the mortality rate in Nigeria, particularly among the ultra-religious sheeples refuses to budge? This all while their pastors and mogs, men who drown them in delusional lies and deceit, fly themselves out when necessary to get the best medical health care so they can live longer and healthier even into their 80s and 90s. OP make you dey there dey kill yourself with fairy tales! undecided

I've been having sleep paralysis for 3 years now since I turned 18, I think it's because I watched pornography for a long time and now almost every night I get the same experience of sleeping paralysis and eating in the dream. I have prayed for forgiveness and confess my sin but each time I prayed, when I sleep it felt like the intensity of the paralysis was more enough. But I didn't stop praying and I won't stop praying now. I know God will save me.

Um... Praying and confessing is not the way to be healed from sleep paralysis. What you want is, as described by the Syrophenician woman in Matthew 15 vs 21- 28, the crumbs from the master's table so you need to do what you can as well. Please see a doctor for your condition. Also, try to dig deep into your mind to understand your triggers and the experience so you can at least take care of it mentally while you receive treatment for the problem. undecided
