Good idea. I am liking this guy already. IDIAGBON IS BACK Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State has slammed a fine of N20,000 on any member of his cabinet who comes late to the State Executive Council (SEC) meeting. Fashola, who is bent on ensuring that he surpasses the feat of his predecessor in terms of prompt service delivery to the people of the state, had earlier threatened to shut out any member of his cabinet who comes late to the SEC meeting which holds at 9:00 a.m. every Monday. http://www.thenewsng.com/modules/zmagazine/article.php?articleid=18980 |

So what's there to celebrate You either don' stay in Lagos or you've chosen to be ignorant. There are real issues begging to be trashed and the Governor has threathened to fine his cabinet members who come late for their meeting . Afterall they still move around with escorts that clear traffic for them. If the Governor wants to really implement a shift from status quo, he should let his executive council members ride in Lagos go-slows and holdups. That will produce any of the 2 scenarios 1) after paying the fine of #20,000 a couple of times, they'll be forced to find a lasting solution to the bottle necks lagosians endure everyday; 2) after paying the fine of #20,000 a couple of times, they'll be forced to stay in their offices and get more work done. Hey Mc Omo, did you say "go get a life"? huh, i guess u're not only a mediocre seeing that by that singular statement you've adjudged a man an ACHIEVER but your are myopic even to the state of ur mind (u r behind time in issues regarding development the world over). U should really step up ur game and put a lid on ur unpolished opinion(s). |

Mc Omo So it is true that you are a die hard Fashola supporter. @topic I am impressed with the cynical eye with which most of the posters on this thread have seen this move. A gimmick for the headlines is what this all is. I think I blame the newsmen more for carrying the story in the first place |
