we don’t the sellers market it as imported and reap huge profits. Don’t you think there are people who own trawlers already in Nigeria?

There are countries whose waters have them in surplus while other are scantly available..

Remember, environmental factor plays a lot of row in their reproduction process.. Nigeria environment may not be encouraging that..

My brother Nigeria is a blessed country if all can join together. Let's not put everything on Govt. We can do better.
There is nothing you will plant on ground in Nigeria that will not germinate.

But you will never see an ijaw man fishing, most fishermen I met to be honest were hausa and jukum people.

Same reason we import petroleum products

Same reason we import generators because no stable light

There are vested interest in these sectors and businesses who would rather want we keep importing

I love red snapperfish. It's one of my favorite types of sih to eat any day anytime.
This one is not the real Red Snapper, though, this one is also from the Red Snapper family but not the real thing. The real ones are usually from the Gulf Coast of Florida and the Caribbean. They tend to be more reddish in color.

This looks more like Mangrove Snapper fish.

Very true.

I learnt Chinese Trawlers, Ghanaians and Cameroonians are the one doing serious fishing in our Waters.

This is a business Nigerians can go into too.

Growing up, I know some Lebanese at Apapa, Lagos into this but left when the old Man became old.

His name? We simply call him Joseph back then.

I'm not talking about pollution, what I meant is does our type of water encourage their increase reproduction..

Is the water deep enough or shallow in size.... This is what I mean

True. It’s one of the snapper specie, not a red snapper.
I went fishing on one of the piers at Bahia Honda Key close to Key West in Florida last year and we caught lots of red snappers and Mahi- Mahi fishes there.
