Should one seek paid employment if his business isn't paying off as usual?

Yes. Your degree and previous job experience gives you an edge.

The digital world has made the world of personal business easier.

Dust your certificates if you must, yet ensure you have a strategy to keep your hustle going...if it's online, easier. If it's a brick and mortar business, hire someone, when you have enough capital to reopen.

Be careful though of what you accept in the name of paid employment, better if it gives you your weekend off (at least no physical presence). Better if it pays well, at least you still have something to save, after meeting basic expenses.

If you are experienced, don't trade your time for another man's job for peanuts.

You work eight to ten hours in another man's business, another man's game.

What stops you for creating your own game?

What stops you from making your game so addictive, as that other man's is so addictive, that it has sucked you in.

Sucked you in, such that you rush to get there before 8:00p.m, then become so busy, that you are surprised it's 6:00pm.

Create your own game, make it addictive, that's your easiest ticket to financial wealth and of course freedom in the long run.

Don't be too tired to create, build your own game, when you aren't playing another man's.

The three members on the interview panel at their respective locations, nodded their heads, impressed with the answers of the candidate.

His answers were concise, contained all they wanted to hear.

It was time to test for Emotional Self Control (E.S.C.)

His was a managerial role.

Not just that, the company was also undergoing a lot of changes.
Changes which was bound to cause tension here and there.

The role, especially at this time, needed a team lead, who can be firm, yet calm.

Someone who can exercise calm-confidence.

The candidate passed the first E.S.C. test excellently.

The second, from his tone, words, and body language, he was on edge.

At the third test, he has had enough, he lost it. When he realized himself, he apologized.

Of course he was forgiven, nothing personal, it was an interview.

Although he scored higher on other interview questions, failing the Emotional Self Control test, cost him the next stage of the screening process.

Do have a Productive Week!

I met him for the first time, He was in his mid 70s, yet still active in his company.

He had employees who can virtually play his roles. It was more than being the MD of a company to him, a company he founded when he was in his 40s.

It was the thrill of the game for him, especially marketing: pitching his offers, cutting deals, closing deals...

As he sat with his next in command, his eyes still blazed... his mental acumen - top notch.

I fully understood one more reason why people tow the entrepreneur path...

Only him can retire himself...the thrill of the game makes him active, regularly working with younger persons has a way of affecting his own health positively.

It's healthier than sitting with his age group regularly, either discussing politics they have no influence over, playing draft or drinking palm-wine.

The thrill of the game is a good reason to build wealth!
