Egypt has engaged with intensive talks with Israel and the United States to allow the delivery of aid and fuel through its Rafah crossing point. However, it pushed back against proposals to establish corridors out of Gaza, saying an an exodus of Palestinians from the enclave would have grave consequences on the Palestinian cause.

The Egyptian government has rejected any proposal to establish corridors out of Gaza for Palestinians fleeing Israel’s bombardment in Gaza, a senior Egyptian official said.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to brief media, was responding to White House National Security spokesperson John Kirby, who said that the Biden administration is in active conversations to achieve safe passage out of Gaza for civilians.

Egypt’s state-run media reported that Israel’s offensive is part of a scheme to empty the enclave.

Gaza hospitals turning into ‘graveyards’ due to lack of power

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has warned that hospitals in Gaza are turning into “graveyards” after equipment stopped working due to the lack of power supply.

Hospitals across Gaza are reeling from a shortage of staff and supply, while the number of critically injured grow by the hour due to the continuous Israeli bombardment.

That PM Netanyahu and US President tell them to leave means nothing. If they want them to move, make the arrangement. That's what Egypt is saying too. Same Egypt gave Israel intel on this issue but same PM Netanyahu called it fake news. Egypt has really big problem of her own. Isreal and US should airlift the innocent Palestinians or pay Egypt to do so.

If Palestinians leave Gaza, then the only Palestinians left would be the ones in the West Bank area. Egypt is correct on this one.

Arab lands stretch from Northwest Africa through Algeria, Libya, Egypt all the way to Iraq, Kuwait Qatar. A very massive expanse of land.

Compared to that, Israel is just a tiny speck.
