You are just an uneducated loud mouth seeking attention. You claimed to live in the UK but you can't write basic English. What does this mean "I just want to know since large group of us are applying". If you have no interest in Brazil how did you find your way here and use the word "us"? I don't even have your time. erico2k2: |

First save yourself from the UK you claimed to live in that you don't have a permanent residence and can get deported anytime. Do you know how many UK and US citizens are migrating to Brazil? People have various reasons for traveling to various places, their reasons don't need to satisfy you. No place is perfect. Americans are migrating to Australia, Australians are migrating to US or Canada. erico2k2: |

SugarPg:Uk and US citizen migrating to Brazil to live ?Oh plzzzzzz stop it, I went to Brazil to work for 4 months upgrading their Tram system, that does not mean I migrated to Brazil. You said people have various reasons for traveling to different places and I agree, So I ask again, what is the reason for anyone with their brains intact want to spend their hard money and travel to Brazil other than for tourism? I will be grateful if we can be enlightened and I am very sure others who are thinking of going to Brazil are watching and waiting for your answer or insight. you are talking about a country that |

For Those who did not make the PEC-PG list Now that PEC-PG is gone, it is not a time to feel sad or gloomy, it is a time to be motivated to push through and achieve what you desire. I never got GCUB when i applied for it but it never kept me down, i applied to several schools and at the end i got 5 admissions with 3 scholarships. I had the liberty of choosing the one that i wanted. PEC-PG scholarship stipend for Msc is R$2100, but you can get above that if you got private funded scholarship via a professor. Also it is advantageous to get a private funded project scholarship because the laws permit you to accumulate it with CAPES or departmental scholarships. But you can't accumulate other scholarships with GCUB or PEC-PG . March 2026 resumption is still a reality, do not give up. I hope this helps someone |

As it might seem as though the PEC-PG is out of grip, my advice is you could still reach out to the department, informing them about the result. Its true they know about it even before you, but you can as well reach out to them. They wont beat you. Someone did and got a bit of a greenlight. You can as well do. However, what I suspect is you might end up using self funding for the initial period of your study (If you get a reply). Also, this is holiday period, getting a reply could be a bit delayed. Godspeed. |

TadeDetule:. It was something else entirely. Got it yesterday. Brazilian embassy has now made it mandatory to legalize your documents before you can apply for student visa. And police character certificate must come with receipt from ministry of foreign affairs. First authenticate at ministry of foreign affairs and ministry of education Notarize at either of the 2 law chambers approved by the embassy Legalize at embassy That's when you can apply for student visa now. That's why my documents were sent back. I only notarize and authenticated all documents. No legalization done. I need to get receipt for my police character certificate now before i can apply for legalization because it is mandatory

Afternoon all and merry Christmas. I'm writing to seek clarification regarding my police clearance certificate timeline. My police clearance certificate will be ready in a few days, and my POF will mature on March 18. I plan to submit my visa application online on March 19. However, the police clearance certificate expires in three months, meaning it will have only about one week of validity left at the time of my application submission Given the certificate's short validity period at the time of application, I'm concerned about potential implications if the Brazilian authorities request the original document submission after it expires. Could you advise if this might affect my application? Thanks for your guidance. |
| Re: Study In Brazil: Admissions And Visa Procedures by SugarPg(m): 1:02pm On Dec 29, 2025 |
Why obtain your police clearance certificate long before you are ready to submit your visa application. We should try and be strategic about some of these things. If you are submitting visa application by March, you ought to have done the PCC by February so that it will still be valid during the visa application period and your entry into Brazil, because you will still need it valid why applying for your RNM document in Brazil. Some people have had to get another PCC because theirs expired. Only proceed to authenticate your documents after obtaining your admission letter or close to getting it and you know you are ready to proceed with visa application, so that you don't go through the stress of Abuja twice. We should be careful about some of those instructions given, some are for different visa application or immigration purpose, not specifically for study purpose. Legalization of documents for academic purpose do not need a Brazilian address for it to be sent to, the documents will be sent back to you or as it had hitherto been done returned back with your passport with visa(that is when you apply for Legalization along side your Visa). If your legalized documents are sent to Brazil whose purpose I can't say and doesn't make sense, which documents will you now submit when they request for physical copies after booking appointment? Schools don't request documents sent to them, after arrival you do formal registration. What we need to do now is to get a prepaid envelope with your address to receive the legalized documents, just like you will repeat when submitting the physical copies when requested. Mide3367: |

If have the interest of migrating to Brazil via study, try and make a move now, do not wait till you get all the answers and assurances. Clarity comes with movement. Immigration policies are changing so fast these days, jet out when you still have the opportunity. |

I'm new here and interested in relocating to Brazil through the study route. Could you please guide me through the process of securing an admission letter and identifying universities in Brazil that offer free tuition and scholarships? English is the only language I currently speak; however, I am willing to learn Brazilian Portuguese after relocating, within my first year of admission. I intend to pursue an MSc degree at a university in Brazil. I hold an HND in Mechanical Engineering and a PGD in Mechanical Engineering. I will be 45 years old in the next few months. Previously, I also obtained an MSc degree from a UK university. I don't If I need to declare that I had msc before during admissions processing. |
| Re: Study In Brazil: Admissions And Visa Procedures by MrNovo: 2:54pm On Jan 12 |
Adebayo82:If you are certain that you can obtain the Education Ministry authentication of your UK certificate then you can apply for a PhD in Brazil. However if you are only applying for a Master's in Brazil then you don't need to mention you have a UK masters since you will be applying with your Bachelor degree. |
