BTW, I like the way they are 11 instead of the constitutional requirement of 21. Lets keep our cost of governance low by all means so the Reps should work on statutory reduction of the number.
Our Judges there have never been packed to 21.

It was Buhari who constituted the highest, 20 in 2020. Tinubu will definitely pack them to somewhere close to that, before the year. Two members of the PEPT are already pencilled down to head up.

However, the Reps themselves should start working on their own pay-cuts.

It cost Billions of Naira annually to keep the current manning level.

America that we model our democracy after which is almost twice our population have only 9 supreme court justices.

Why on earth should a broke country like Nigeria have an overbloated SC?

Because each state in America has its own supreme court where state concerned matter ends up while the Supreme court in American usually only adjudicate on constitutional matter our own entertain civil, criminal and political matter.

The SE has no Judge out of the 11 remaining. Each Zone is expected to get at least 3.

The 11 we have currently:
SW 3,
SS 2
NE 3
NW 2
NC 1 (will retire on Friday next week)


All this quota representation is bcs our people are not honest and have no integrity. This quota representation is dividing us the more than uniting us.

If the judges are doing their jobs to hell with quota system.
