Grassroots Rugby needs support in Nigeria. I don't know who to tag.

This is happening in Abeokuta at the Tunde Delu Rugby Shield.

All sports has a regulatory body...use the internet to DYOR then reachout to them and achieve your aim.

If Nigeria is working sport is one of the sector jobs are to be created and the impact will trickle down into indirect creation of jobs in that sector too.

But such will not happen because this is Nigeria were dreams are killed; where anything that succeeded in other part of the world is cajole, rendered useless and made to look like a rocket science and unachievable.

How far for football which is seen as our thing dying, then basketball, volleyball, handball, tennis, etc, not to talk of rugby.

Welcome to Nigeria, the only country in the world were achieving thing are made strenuous and still get knackered at the end.

What is a Nigerian thing?

Every sport has its financial gain, rugby might not be popular here in Nigeria but trust Nigerians to take advantage of every new opportunities to be out there doing something good for themselves.

Concussion is real, brain damage is also real. Those helmets and body pads don't do much when force meets force. These ones don't even have helmets yet.

Solid health care is not real in Nigeria. It doesn't even exist at the moment.

This rugby is a very physical sport, way worse than boxing.

Bones break, brains get damaged, people die.

I don't think it's okay to introduce a sport where we know there's no adequate health care nor special treatment if any serious injury occurs.

Also after retirement many of the players are never really the same again.

And now, their government, especially in the US, UK and so on have better retirement packages and healthcare compared to Nigeria, yet people still die.

We need to stop reaching for what we cannot control or contain as a nation.

Can't even bring myself to watch or support this.
