Is it under Tinubu that Nigeria started importation.Nigeria has been importing since 1960 and it has not gone as worst as Tinubu who claim to have graduated with bachelor of Science.

This naira free falling promo, where and when does it stop? I'm sure that a lot of Nigerians at home and abroad are now trading against the naira, no patriotism, no nothing. And everyone will be busy right now shouting like a saint

In 5 days 1250 to 1450!
In 6 months what do you think will happen at this rate.
Lol, Nigerians handed their cbn to gangstas. It's just like giving your barn of yams, cassava to a group of goats for safe keeping. grin

How did the average Nigerian decide not to manufacture?

Did the Nigerian professionals refuse to take jobs offered to them, leading to employment of foreigners?

Do you even know that it's Nigerians who actually do the job the foreigners are hired to do?

How did the average Nigerian decide not to refine oil?

What nonsense are you even saying gaan?

These people just don't understand realities...

They have gone from blaming PDP and Jonathan from 2015, to blaming average struggling Nigerians

Buhari, the architect of this mess would be laughing at Tinubu saying it wasn't this bad when I was there grin grin grin grin

The government must increase interest rates now to restore some level of confidence in the Naira. By keeping interest rates way below the level of inflation, it would tell the world that the country isn't ready to face the mess on ground.

The problem is that our inflation is mostly caused by the excess cash in the system. Eg CBN printing cash indiscriminately, politicians having so much cash etc

Don't mind them. It's all speculative buying. The banks are part of it. If this is reflective of the performance of the economy the smallest packet of biscuit would have been sold above #500.

So much round tripping is going on in the banks. Hopefully just one sudden policy will crash all these.

Very unfortunately some Nigerians announce the increase in dollar rate with glee as if it's blood.
Bro you are capping nonsense, this nations fx reserve have depleted immensely, no substantial export aside crude oil, companies are pulling out and you are saying round tripping, even at I &E windows and CBN rate, naira has crashed by 40% since una wicked president was sworn in on 29th may and u are blaming it on round tripping, na who dey deceive una like this? A government that is borrowing to pay salaries bought a car of N160m for each NAS member, what kind of juju this politician dey use on una to make una dey reason like this? Any little this you people will look for who to blame instead of holding people at the helm of affairs responsible.

Every single Nigerian contributed to this. We rather import than manufacture, we prefer foreign products, politicians stash money abroad, we import skilled people to build our infrastructure, we only export oil. Etc.

Nigerians, it's all your fault.

You can't blame the citizens much.
There is little a citizen can do if the government is bad.
Good citizen is directly proportional to good government.
There is little citizens can do when there are not stable 24hrs electricity to run a factory or company that produces jobs and taxes for government.
There is little a farmer can produce when his security is not guaranteed in the farm and bad roads to bring harvested crops to cities and no post harvest storage on ground for crops that can't be sold in days time.
I closed my vegetable oil factory last year due to power issues.
Many have closed and many will still close

But where are all those economist both foreign and local ones including our own renounce economist Bismarck Rewane who said that the real naira value is around #700 or between #650 to #750. Can they come and tell us what is really happening and how to solve this problem.
