This attack is akin to so many murderous attacks on churches and Christians in the north and reminds me of the statement by Pastor Martin Niemoller who unequivocally said, "First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out...because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out...because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out...because I was not a Jew. And then when they came for me, there was no one left to speak for me." I hope this incident serves as a lesson albeit a bitter one that you need to speak out against injustice and unfair treatment no matter whom it's against or who is the perpetrator. Because if you do NOT, that injustice and unfair treatment would eventually reach your door steps and by sheer providence no one would be there to speak for or fight on your behalf.
