I usually laugh at the ignorance of most of the people from SW using IGR as a parameter for economic growth.

What Is the Major Measure of Economic Growth? While there are a number of different ways to measure economic growth, the best-known and most frequently tracked and reported measure is gross domestic product (GDP).

It is really funny seeing them trolling other regions because of IGR.

Attached is the current GDP ranking of Nigeria states. This is what the world use to measure development. But my SW people always want to change narrative to suit their agendas

GDP is the easiest thing to lie about but your revenues don’t lie

It’s obvious that the GDP of Ogun is higher than that of all the SE states put together but they can keep deceiving themselves

GDP that cannot generate revenue… Is that one GDP?

IGR determines sustainability, Nigeria has the largest GDP in Africa, but it is currently facing severe revenue challenges, if these challenges are not resolved in good time, the country may not survive,

IGR is directly related to GDP.

IGR is mainly due from taxation of both production and consumption both of which are directly correlated to GDP.

You can only tax both production and consumption .

Production in the form of corporate/income tax and consumption in the form of VAT .

Both of these taxes make up IGR.

And both of these are only generated in an economy with strong Gross Domestic Production.

Illiterate Aba economists.

You dey mind the fools ?

In their village in Anambra they are now placing head tax on every non indigene under the guise of security levy because there is no single production .

Tinubu should ensure the VAT ruling secured by both Rivers and Lagos state is enforced .

The time of sharing VAT from SW and SS to parasitic SE and north is over.

what have they been using the IGR to do? loot and loot and leave the state in ruined.

ogun has already tells u that IGR is not equivalent to development.

Fool, Germany has both the biggest economy as deduced from GDP and also the highest tax revenue base in Europe.

In the US, the two largest economies , California and New York , account for highest county, state and federal tax revenue base.

If Mr A pays #1500 in taxes and Mr B pays #5000 in taxes and both are resident in the same tax code area, who earns more ?

ogun generate IGR more than all the SE states put together according to you, but yet lack basic amenities. a poor small Ebonyi state has far more better roads than ogun state. what are ur politicians doing with the supposed money been generated?

how can a state claim to generate revenue more than a region, yet no world class infrastructure in that state.
what a big shame

Fool, Ebonyi roads and whatever infrastructure carried out and completed by Dave were all commissioned from loans in lieu of federal allocations.

Where did Dave see the money to build flyovers in his village and a moribund airport in Abakileke?

Dave even said it openly that Ebonyi depends on federal handouts to which he has borrowed the future of Ebonyi state welfare cheques to build substandard roads and flyovers in lieu of federal allocations.

Will those roads generate money on their own ?

Won't those same roads require maintainance in future ?

And who benefited from these projects if not Dave himself who awarded every single contract for 8ys to his own personal company?

You are completely inept and don't have a clue of what you are talking about.

Face whatever petty trade you are into and leave economics for people who at least have a formal understanding of its basic principles.
