i am trying to unlock blackberry 8520, but when i enter code mep (code accepted), freeze nothing l happen
after restarting the same invalid sim , i installed latest os but same result always showing 10 left,

press mepd and seee how many locks you have active. some operators activate network subset lock instead of network lock. Hope its not the new bsn bug with new security.

only network active all other disabled. this is not the first bb i found with same problem. i read some ware on the net that security area was damaged and and direct unlock is only way to unlock these phones. i don't know if this true.

Its not sec area, its problem with the bsn, only possible via mml 4.0 and mml connects via rtas, that means you cant have access to it except you have rim dongle which is more of a rigmarole than rtas access. hope you still have it when am in naija.

i know how to unlock bb phones. i don't need to buy unlock codes i have four different bb unlock software. i know when phone is locked on mep 2 or mep 4 . there are some bb phones that freezes or reboot when you enter the correct mep code. after phone reboots there is 10 tries left. that is my problem.
