Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti says his administration is working tirelessly to secure the release of the incarcerated leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, saying it's not ready to make public approaches being deployed.

Nnamdi Kanu, also a British citizen hails from Umuahia, Abia State.

He has been in detention since 2021 over allegations bordering on founding an "illegal" organizations, terrorism among others.

Several efforts have been made in the past to ensure his release without any result.

ABN TV report that the Court of Appeal had earlier discharged and acquitted him of allegations against him but the federal government eventually took him to Supreme Court where the Justices are yet to rule on the matter.

Top government officials have also lent their voices in the call for his release but the federal government had maintained its ground in exploiting legal option instead of political solution.

At his monthly media chat on Sunday in Umuahia streamed live on ABN TV, Governor Otti said he is approaching the issues differently, noting that he is not approaching it the same ways that have not brought results.

According to the Governor, he does not believe in media frenzy but in achieving results.

"Our approach is different. They are not on the pages of the newspaper", the governor said while adding that his administration is working "very hard" to ensure Kanu's release.

It's time to go beg someone they don't recognize as president for the release of MNK.

That's life.

Tinubu would release him not bcoz he needed the support of South East, not even in 2027 but bcoz of humanity after all he wasn't the one that detained him.

That's why we should always open our eyes while crying bcoz you never know who's passing by. Let the degree of hatred reduce drastically.

He's their Lord and savior. And I don't really blame the leaders there bcoz the militant arm of ipob would harass and kill them on the instructions of Kanu. I just hope they would not regret this move to release him.

Releasing of Nnamdi Kanu is on one condition.

If he can thwart the Biafra movement now being mobilized by his disciple Simon Ekpa. Because Ekpa seems more dangerous per se.

Releasing of Nnamdi Kanu must act as confusion in biafra Camp.

If he can assent to this condition then he'll be released.

Because collabo of Nnamdi and Simon on biafra matters will surely be a threat to Nigeria oneness and Nigeria fed government knows this
