Now where in all of this were the 4 Regions abolished and resource control taken away?

The question you should ask yourself is where did I say he abolished resource control? That said resource control that is under the authority of the center is not resource control.

I said he abolished regionalism because the practical effect of the law (it was called the unification decree for a reason) was to abolish regionalism in all but name. When your independent regional civil service is abolished and the you abolish the authority of the regional governments. You have abolished regionalism. That you still retain the regional governments in name is just semantics. They have no authority, they are no longer independent, the center determines what you do.

He and his cohorts created this mess in the grand sinister plan to dominate the country. They thought they would rule forever and it backfired. That’s why no one trusts you people with the presidency. You Al have shown your true collies and your true agenda.

The first Nigeria's academic Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Prof. Ben Nwabueze, has died.

This is coming ten years after the legal luminary had begged God to give him more five years to finish his works on earth before calling him home.

Prof. Nwabueze had made the call in 2013 during the presentation of his two-volume autobiography titled: “Ben Nwabueze, His Life, Works, Times - An Autobiography,”

Howbeit, the popular constitutional lawyer, died on Sunday, at the age of 92 years.

Prof. Nwabueze, a one-time Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, who hailed from Atani in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, was said to have passed on in his hometown.

Until his death, he was a teacher, administrator, businessman and former Minister of Education and Youth Development.

According to reports, Nwabueze's academic pursuit started at the CMS Central School Atani, from 1938 – 1945; C.M.S Central School, Onitsha (formerly, African College), 1947 – 1950. He later went to London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London, 1956 – 1961 and School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, 1961 – 1962. From 1962 – 1965, he was Senior Lecturer at Holborn College of Law, London, and Senior Lecturer, University of Nigeria Nsukka, between 1967 – 1970. In 1971, he was Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Zambia and Director, Law practice Institute, Zambia, 1973 – 1975

Although, well supported by both father and uncle initially, the greater part of his Academic pursuits abroad were made possible by scholarship awarded to him for his academic excellence.

Prof. Nwabueze earned his Doctor of Laws (LL.D) at the University of London in 1978, based on his three outstanding books – Constitutionalism, Presidentialism, and Judicialism, thus entering the record books as the second (since the death of Dr. T.O. Elias), the only Nigerian and African holder of a higher doctorate degree in Law by published works.

He is also the first academic lawyer to be made a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in 1978 strictly on the basis of his published works.

A seasoned Academician, he was member of Senate of the Universities of Lagos, Dar-es-salaam, Nairobi, Haile Selassie in Ethiopia, Lesotho, Botswana and Swaziland between 1971 – 1978.

He was appointed the University Assessor for Academic Appointments, Universities of Ghana, Lagos, Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) and Jos between 1978 – 1979.

A firm believer in publishing, Prof. Ben Nwabueze is the proud author of over thirty books and treatises with an average extent of 400 pages. They include; The Machinery of Justice in Nigeria; Constitutional Law of the Nigerian Republic; Nigerian Land Law and Constitutionalism in the Emergent States. Others are Presidentialism in Commonwealth Africa, Judicialism in Commonwealth Africa; The Presidential Constitution of Nigeria; A Constitutional History of Nigeria; Federalism in Nigeria under the Presidential Constitution; and Nigeria’s Second Experiment in constitutional Democracy in Africa in Five Volumes.

He has written over 200 articles in academic journals and more than 100 keynotes at local and international conferences.

Prof. Nwabueze had long been partially incapacitated with age and ill-health, until the news of his demise.
A legal luminary and academic genius of excellence in jurisprudence.

There should be a Dr. Ben Nwabueze Centre for Legal Studies and Jurisprudence.

Now compare that to Gowon who abolished all 4 Regions altogether, and stripped yhem of resource control

So, you agree that Ironsi unified the civil service? Yes or No?

That was never the argument

The arguement was that he abolished the 4vRegions Nigeria had and introduced unitary rule by taking away resource control

You quoted Decree 34 but say another thing. The 4 Regions were existing during Ironsi's time abd all 4 Regions had resource control

The decree 34 gave allowance to have its own civil service, but under an umbrella organisation

The essential things to take away here is that all 4 Regions existed, and haf resource control

As long as the 4 Regions were existing and controlling their resources, whatever Ironsi chooses to unify was of no importance

But what did Gowon do when he came in, he abolished all 4 Regions and created 12 states with Decree 14, then used Decree 15 to end resource control

What you jokers want us to believe is that you are so concerned about a civil service policy of Ironsi, but not really concerned that Gowon came in after Ironsi and abolished the 4 Regions altogether, and ended resource control?

Too many jokers everywhere grin grin grin grin

I know what the argumentisbut am talking about your claim that, Ironsi did not take away resource control (from the regions but only unified the civil service, right?

It’s a waste of time arguing with you people. The World knows how you operate. Your adventure in Obidiency is there for the world to see. Your embark on selfish actions with the mission to control and doninate others without thinking strategically and thinking g others. Are fools and when it back fire you start to peddles false narratives and propaganda in the hope that the more you say it the more in becomes truth. But the rest of us have seen through you.

The history of Nigeria is filled with your misadventures.

1. Refusing to allow right ofsecession in the constitution when all other regions wanted it (hoping to dominate others)
2. Aligning with the less educated North thinking you would control the alliance but when they proved they were politically superior and you couldn’t dominate them, you staged a coup and killed their leaders.
3. Ill thought out civil war which was all about control of the oil in the SS
4. What you did to the minorities of the SS during the civil war
5. Claiming you seceded from Nigeria but heading to Ibadan and Lagos during the war.
6. Claiming Lagos is no man’s land
7. The Obidient project while at the same time supporting Kanu

Etc etc etc. Nigerians are in no doubt of your true motives. You believe Nigeria is the land given to you to dominate. We are wise to you now.

I never said any thing about resource control, you did. If I give you a car but I retain the key and appoint the designated driver, it is only your car because the documents say so. In reality I control when you can use the car and what you can do with it. Regional government where thee authority lies at the center is not regional government.

You can talk and try to rewrite history from now till kingdom come but for your sins of derailing our country you will never see sit on that Aso rock.

Feel free to continue to rewrite history to fool yourself. We are watching you in amusement.

The Ibo go forth and conquer and dominate ideological agenda of Daddy Onyeama outlined at the world Ibo summit and disguised under Zikism has failed! You want money no problem but the power you crave to dominate will continue to elude you. Unfortunately the few sensible amongst you are held back by the mentality of the majority.

And yet no Igbo man has been in power since 1966, its been other zones ruling Nigeria. But you people have spent the last 57 years messing up Nigeria to this day, making it poverty capital of the world and one of the most insecure places on earth, then blaming Igbos for your 57 year old mess up.

Thats why you people have to go back over 50 years to find what Igbos did, lie about Ironsi's decree 34, talk about the civil war, in a desperate bid to deflect the fact that it was the rest of you who spent the 57 years bringing Nigeria to the disastrous state it is in tiday
