RENO OMOKRI HAVE THIS TO SAY....

Political godfatherism in Nigeria can hardly work outside Yoruba land. It can possibly work amongst the Hausa and Fulani. Just possibly. Not certainly. But anywhere else, it is likely to fail. Only the Yoruba have that centuries-old culture of respect for age and authority that makes it possible for a godson to stay loyal to a godfather when he has tasted power.

Look at the manner in which Governor Biodun Oyebanji prostrated flat for Chief Afe Babalola. And mind you, Chief Afe Babalola is not his political godfather. Oyebanji became Governor courtesy of Bola Tinubu. Yet, he submitted himself to Chief Afe Babalola. That is the Omoluabi culture that made Colonel Fajuyi reject the offer to surrender Major General Ironsi to Northern officers and replace him as Military Head of State. He chose to die, rather than abandon his guest. If they reverse was the case, Nigerian history would have been different.

When General Babangida and his colleagues decided to overthrow President Shehu Shagari, they approached General Obasanjo and told him they would hand power to him. Obasanjo told General IBB and his group that he was very much interested, but he could not accept because he could not in good conscience take power from a man he handed power over to. And that if President Shagari had lost and another President he did not give power to was on the throne, then he could have accepted. Please research it.

Tinubu installed a total of ten Governors in Lagos, the Southwest, South-South, and North-central, including Fashola, Aregbesola, Amosun, Ajimobi, Fayemi, Oshiomhole, Abiodun, Oyetola, AbdulRazaq, and Ambode. He did not install Akeredolu, but he anointed him.

Of the ten governors he installed and the eleventh he anointed, none of them turned against him except Ambode, and after he unseated Ambode, he and Ambode reconciled.

In terms of record sales, Wizkid is the most successful artiste in Africa. Do you know when he began to explode? After he prostrated for Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye, AKA King Sunny Ade. Whilst still prostrated, KSA uttered only three words. He said, 'God bless you!'

If you cannot bow to any man then how can you rise by the hand of a man to whom God has given influence? To be anointed, one man must be standing and the other must be bowing. That is how Samuel anointed Saul and David. That is how Elijah anointed Hazael and Jehu.

And that is how the Archbishop of Canterbury crowned King Charles III. By standing ABOVE him.

It says a lot about the cultural sophistication of the Yoruba. They are where they are due to respect for age and authority. Respect goes up from the younger Yoruba, and care goes down from the older Yoruba. They have kept their omoluabi culture, and their culture has kept them.

All I have to say is that Reno is a two face man

He should remember Yoruba's respect for elders, constituted authority, and our culture and heritage and we don't pamper anyone who disrespects our leaders.

Reno, you have crossed your boundary with your insult while you were taking orders from hateful Atiku and lying Peter Obi, now that the umbilical cord that joined Obidient and Atiku is cut you are here singing praises of Yoruba. Who told you Yoruba are not gifted with the knowledge to identify sycophants?

Just know that we would only be looking at you while Atiku cancels Obi and Obi cancels Atiku, that is what we want and that is what you are doing

Reno is talking in the nonsense. We cannot be subservient to our equals

Reno playing with Agbado believers brain.. with his normal lies ADC to Fajuyi an hausa granted an interview few months ago and mentioned that Fajuyi never tried to save Ironsi but actually wanted to jump the fence of government house Ibadan and run away before the soldiers shot him dead and then arrested Ironsi . Babangida didn’t approach Obasanjo to take over any coup. The ring leaders of 1983 coup was so called “the turks” Abubakar umar, lawan gwadabe and co and they had settled for buhari already before D day. They were young Fulani soldiers loyal to Abacha and Abacha brought in Babangida . Late oba sijuade , Adeyemi and all first class traditional rulers sabotaged Abiola..same thing with shonekan

Without deep knowledge of where you are going in life or having a road map you will never understand what Reno is saying or you may but deliberately ignore your own findings...

Many people from all over the word get a job through connections.

Ambode, Fashola, Sanwo Olu were smart men that may never have gotten to power without a sponsor in respect to finance and logistics. People with more money would have kicked them out and Lagos may no be what it is today because those richer men will not be checked if there's nobody above them...

Godfatherism is in every sphere of life if you don't want to deliberately misinterpret it.

Someone just has to recommend you...

In develop world sometimes even before the birth of a child the parent already knows the godfather/Godmother.

What I don't like and won't support is someone requesting for a kickball from the government cover just because you install your puppet but then again what would be the interest of the installer?

Awolowo helped Akintola to emerge Western Region's Minister in the 1960s.

But Akintola fought Awolowo to a standstill and even connived with Hausa-Fulanis to ensure Awolowo was jailed on the accusation of treasonable offenses. Which made young Nigerian military officers then led by Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu, Ifeajuna and Ademulegun to carry out coup solely to free Awolowo from jail and hand over power to him because they believed Awolowo was the best person to lead Nigeria instead of Nnamdi Azikiwe and Tafawa Belewa.

Because of the godfather and annointed son's war in Western Nigeria (Yoruba side of Nigeria) in the 1960s which later involved even the wives of Awolowo and Akintola, Western Nigeria was boiling and was about setting Nigeria on fire before the January 1966 coup happened.

Tinubu was a follower of MKO Abiola, but as soon as MKO was arrested and jailed, Tinubu switched side and started lobbying for political appointment under Abacha's government, this is on record.

We have the fight between Olagunsoye Oyinlola and his vice from Ile Ife who later became Senator.

As for Fajuyi's case with Aguiyi Ironsi, Fajuyi being the Western Region's Governor that welcomed Ironsi the head of state at his Ibadan official residence was totally handicapped to save himself nor Ironsi because the rampaging Northern soldiers led by T. Y. Danjuma outnumbered them already and had already disarmed his state security guards.

Fajuyi was scared of allowing them arrest Ironsi at his state house residence. He queried why they didn't arrest Ironsi when he visited Kaduna and Enugu, why Ibadan? Fajuyi was being careful not to be roped into the coup later if he freely allowed them to arrest Ironsi at his official residence, it would be on record.

So when they got inside the state house where Ironsi was, they officially demanded to arrest Ironsi to answer questions about the January 1966 coup, which Ironsi denied having a hand in, Fajuyi being the official host of Ironsi told the soldiers that came with Danjuma that Ironsi is the head of state and cannot be arrested by any other authority, that he does not have the authority to formally grant their request to arrest Ironsi because this is the head of state they are talking about.

He said he would rather volunteer to go with them along with the head of state that because if anything happens that it is him that will be officially held responsible and that he doesn't want that, so the Northern soldiers said okay, and they handcuffed Ironsi, Fajuyi, Ironsi's ADC who narrated this because he escaped through a gentle man agreement he had with some Northern soldiers to save one another based on which side the coup came from. Luckily for the ADC, one of the Northern soldiers he made that gentleman agreement with was among the soldiers that came to arrest Ironsi, that was how he escaped being killed along Ironsi and Fajuyi who were shot on the way.

How Reno Mockery has turned to a stupid shameless liar praise-singing Yorubas of recent just to deceive Tinubu into giving him an appointment and a pardon from his past criticisms of Tinubu
