Blackman with a black mind stock in a dark continent. You will not buy it from Innoson but you will buy it if similar vehicle is imported.

This has NOTHING to do with black people, this is strictly a Nigerian thing. If Innoson existed in any other African country, they would celebrate him. This is what happens, when you put different peoples, who don't like one another, in the same country. You get people acting odd, unusual, and anti-patriotic.

Toyota automobile also has plant China and manufactures in China...

So, the avoidance of Inoson's vehicles because of partnership with China is a weak argument already

That was how China developed, and today, you can't push them aside when it comes to technological advances and innovations.

Buy it, dismantle it and reverse engineer it.

And concerning the state of Nigeria roads, I think they really do not need to be fixed according to our Reps… but left to become more deplorable while stronger cars are required to access them, to the extent that boats and canoes will be needed in the near future to access them.

And these are the same people asking us to patronize made in Nigeria goods…

What a country.

What do you have?
To go and bring auto parts from China and couple them here , then begin to lie to everyone that you manufacturer cars?
At least the car assembly plant employs Nigerians. PAN, Anamco and Volkswagen plants of yore were all assembly plants. Nothing stops any Nigerian parts supplier to apply for contracts for locally made parts .

the government’s decision to choose the Toyota Land Cruiser SUV is largely due to the need for vehicles with great off-roading abilities to help reduce the burden of driving through Nigeria’s bad roads.

You see these men they are all
"EVIL MEN"
they all know that we have bad roads instead of fixing the bad roads they prefer to buy a car they will use on the bad roads...

So how do Nigerians who can't afford the Land Cruiser suv, cope with the bad roads the legislators should've pressed and prioritised for to be repaired over getting this largesse?

This is why there are no jobs in Nigeria because we hate ourselves. If you don't actively patronize "Made in Nigeria" goods with great passion our industries will not grow and won't be able to finance employing people.

Yes. There nothing wrong with that. Nothing special bout an ICE car. Absolutely nothing.

More importantly, all developed economies copied from each other. CHINA bring the most recent. They copied everything. Today they are developed. Bigerian suffer from real low self esteem. Inferiority complex that makes them reject everything they have

Tata, an Indian ca was total crap but the Indian government backed them. Today they have aquired juager and land rover

The same reason why we are stocked in the same place with no development. American presidents official vehicle is Ford made in America, in Germany it is the Mercedes Benz made in Germany, Why can't we just do something right to promote our own local manufacturers.

Penny wise, pound foolish.

Won't the bad roads spoil the good cars?

The next tenure might see these lawmakers buying private jets, so as to avoid "bad roads".

They do unfortunately. Google 'pork barrel spending' for an example of their excess spending

Doesn't make Nigerian lawmakers innocent. In fact we are too broke to spend too much money on the national assembly

It is not the same thing.

Pork barrel spending is usually related to constituency projects and not for personal aggrandizement of the politician. What the Legislooters have done is for their personal benefit & not for thier constituencies.
